I think 2009 is too early for a new album from usher, his last effort was below lackluster it was damn right dreadful for an artist of his caliber. It just seems like he’s lost his touch. I think he should either release the album in late 09 or 2010 and give people a chance to miss his music a bit. He definately needs to step his game up!

I liked letoya’s songs, she did a good job with releasing music that suited her voice and style but was mainstream and commercial at the same time. She needs to stick with that formula if she wants another successful album.

WOW CIARA! I don’t even know where to begin on that picture. She looks pretty; it’s just sort of racy I guess. It’s to the other extreme of all of that play-play music she’s been making in the past and I’m glad that she’s moving on because she’s not a “teen star” anymore she’s an adult so hopefully she’ll stop making silly songs about crushes or whatever.

I completely agree with #10, Kim is more than a joke. In terms of making music, I think it’s in her best interest to just stop. I also agree with #7, definitely does NOT represent the ladies.

Didn’t hear LeToya’s first album but somehow I’m quite interested in what her sophmore album is going to sound like and Lil Kim…Honey…I’ll just wait till her album comes out before I say anything else. If she’s reppin’ for the “ladies” then she BETTA COME WIT IT! If not…give it back to Missy!

Usher-I’m hoping this next album will go hard. He’s working with Pharell, so that may be a good sign, he’s produced some good stuff for him in the past.

Lil Kim-I hope she doesn’t jump on that auto tune bandwagon. Truth be told The Naked Truth is a hot album. It got 2 classic ratings from Vibe and The Source. She just needs to spit hard over some hot beats, like she was doing before. The door for a female rapper comeback is wide open so maybe she can take it.

Ciara-Nothing I’ve heard so far has made me excited about her album.

LeToya- Can’t wait to hear some new material from her. I’m hoping she doesn’t have a sophmore slump, because she had a very good debut.

I really love the title song “Here I Stand” by Usher. That is such a beautifully written song. Very old school r&b flava and he should of released that and made a video to that song instead of that annoying Moving Mountains. But honestly, it’s not a wrap for Usher’s career. He will have much more success for quite some time because he’s a performer. He has the same “IT” factor of performers like Sammy Davis Jr. & Gene Kelley. Here I Stand just didn’t do well, but i have a hunch that other projects he’ll do in the future will have better success.

I agree with #18. Usher is a great entertainer. He’s had many successful albums. Everyone has an off album here and there. He’ll be back. It doesn’t hurt that he’s sexy as hell and very charismatic.

Ciara…I only liked one song I’ve heard off the album so far, Supernatural. The others were ….boo. To all those saying the whole album has leaked I’m sure she recorded more than what has been heard. You don’t know what all she recorded for the album. Hopefully she too can get it together and come with a solid project.

Will someone explain to me, What is consider a flop album?. Majority of the Hip-Hop artists sell less than 500,000 copies and most major Pop and RnB artists sells have decline from album to album. What is the magic number?. If an artist sells 3 million on one album and manage to sell 1.1 million on the next. Is that a flop album?… HELP ME OUT..

Usher - Technically, the album wasn’t a flop cuz it sold over 2 million worldwide without any “real” promotion or good singles…but based on his singles’ chart performance & compared to the previous album performance, yea, he didn’t measure up well at all…and for him to try to come back only the next year (actually, the next couple months) after the last album and try to be the ‘Confessions’ Usher he used to be that made him international, would seem so fake to me.

VERDICT: Wait a while Usher, give us about 2 years to forget how bad “H.I.S.” performed and give us magic in, say about…2011. But PLEASE don’t come around when Chris Brown is ready to release a third album…as much as it urks me to say it, he’ll embarrass you.

HIS was a great album and should have done alot better. There was a least 5 top ten singles on the album. But again this is another case where the wrong singles were release at the wrong time. Happens to so many artist and so many great albums. Usher should have extended the life of Love In This Club with a video release of the remix. How can you go wrong with Beyonce and Lil Wayne on a track? Futhermore, the remix with Plies should have leaked first - for the streets. Then Lil Wayne’s version for the masses. OK, heres what went wrong - Never release a track thats been leaked for months as a single. If Moving Mountains was going to blow up, it would have when it leaked like Love In This Club did. Trading Places should have been the third single followed by Appetite or even Whats Ur Name. Usher would have had the ladies saying R-A-Y-M-O-N-D.
