Check out brand new music from Chrisette Michele. The new song is called “Epiphany” and will serve as a the first single from her currently untitled second album. Although much information isn’t known about the project, it’s supposed to drop on March 31st, and sources close to the singer have said that she’s worked with Ne-Yo and created some sounds a lot different from the ones that were on her debut, 2007′s I Am, which was certified gold and earned her a Grammy nomination.
I’m interested to see what Chrisette comes up with, she has a very unique and distinctive voice. I think with the right producers, she could really showcase her pipes in a really nice light.

I love Chrisette, her voice is so unique! This song is pretty dope, It’s a grower. I wanna hear her do something current, even thought that’s prolly not her style, I just think it would be interesting.

My cousin let me hear this song last night. I love her voice, but for reason I am not a fan of this song. But Imma give it another listen to, I was sleepy and I was listening to it over the phone. BTW, her last album was kinda a bore. I hope she brings it with this album. Girls voice is sick. Good luck Chrissy……..
I love her voice and although it is not the jazz/soul type song I’m used to hearing from her I think it is a great song.

I loved the first album. Chrisette has such an amazing voice. But the more jazz like style really fits her voice. I like the song though
I heard this sistah singing on the NAACP 30th anniversary tribute to Patti Labelle and this girl can blow. Fabulous voice. Look forward to hearing more of what she can offer.

Chrisette is incredibly talented but I dont think def jam are supporting her enough! Yes its great to go gold but with the right promotion her debut should have gone platinum. They promoted Neyo really well, they could do the same for Chrisette.
The song is okay, but I reckon it would get annoying after a while. Plus the chorus sounds generic, in fact the verses were stronger than the chorus.
I loved I Am, her debut- it had a lot of great songs, if she did something similar but added a few great up tempos and a couple of soulful ballads it would be perfect!
It’s cool, not what I would expect for a first single. I love Chrisette’s first album so I wish her much success.

you know I lovvvvveeeeeeeee Chrisette’s music, but was seriously turned off by her when i went to her concert at the House of Blues in Chicago..
She sings wonderfully but she was acting like she didn’t want to be there, she didn’t stay like she claimed she would for fans on her website, she forgot lyrics to her songs, [i know it doesn't seem like much, but if you were really into the song, you would have been disappointed.] she was eating grapes.. idk if it was for show? or to be funny?

There was nothing wrong with the first CD except a lack of creative promotion…I hope Ne-Yo is not all over it to craft a more “mainstream” R&B sound. She is different, so let her stay that way….this song doesn’t do her much justice.

I like this. Her voice is such a throwback to so much old music. She sounds like an Emotions girl on this track but with a 2009 beat! I hope she gets a little more shine this time.

now, i’m a HUGE chrisette michele fan, the song was ok… but really not for her, she has such a powerful voice and I didn’t feel it did her justice. definately not first single material, if i had never heard her b4, this song wouldn’t make me want to jump up, buy her album and find out everything about her… which was pretty much how i felt after hearing her on lost ones and best of me…
@ 16, i went to see chrisette at the house of blues in chicago too, in june, and she did stay til the very last fan had gotten her autogragh. i even got to take a bunch of photos and ask her questions… as for the forgetting lyrics, i’ve noticed that too, but she does have a.d.d, coupled with nerves and everything…so i let it slide
This song is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dope. I love how everyone’s worried about her mainstream appeal when Chirsette isn’t. Here mainstay has always been adult/contemporary. You really have to be mature to enjoy her sound. I Am was the BIZNESS for instance, but most who are jaded by today’s music wouldn’t appreciate it. Same goes for this song.
The only thing that bothers me is that all of a sudden there’s a lead single but yet there isn’t even an album title? Sounds a little fishy to me and I smell a pushback. I hope not. Either way, she’s got my money.
