We just spoke of LeToya Luckett in our music news section about her new single, “Not Anymore,” and here it is, exclusively serviced to us by our good friend Ced from LeToyaOnline.com! “Not Anymore” is the lead single from LeToya’s sophomore album, Lady Love, which hits stores April 7th.
The single is pretty cool, nothing like I expected it to be, and it doesn’t really sound like the classic Ne-Yo penned song. I’m glad that Toya chose not to stick to the same formula of “Torn.” I was just sure she was going to serve up another popular sample to tap onto some nostalgia. “Not Anymore” will fit nicely on the radio for this first music quarter.

This is Album is gonna be way different from her last, this was Written by Ne-Yo so what the hell do u people expect it to sound like. LeToya has her lane, and she will drive by the people u are comparing her to in that lane. The song is HOT, give credit where it’s due. I didn’t like her last Album, just a few songs on it. But I bought it, and will for sure by this one.
I like her vocals and the lyrics are decent but it isn’t iPod worthy for me. I do think it would be radio-friendly but I could be wrong since I haven’t listened to the radio is a WHILE (like years lol)!

I LIKE THE SONG
Letoya, kelly, beyonce and solange all sound so similar vocally, perhaps its a houston thing.
The song is okay, nothing groundbreaking. The lyrics aren’t that great considering Neyo wrote it and he’s normally a great songwriter. Sounds a bit like Tshirt by Shontelle or Tatoo by Jordonsparks.
@6 if you want to hear more interesting music perhaps stop listening to the radio and check out artists like amel larrieux, santagold or kevin michael. There is talent out there but its not on the radio.

This track is perfectly suitable for Letoya—Its far from impressive, but the vocals r strong and the beat is real chill—Despite of the lack of creative energy, this track definately has airplay potential! As far as attaining Hot 100 success, i can’t forsee it.—I do believe Letoya will definately break through on the R&B charts.—Unfortunately, the industry is extremely tough these days, the competition is tough as well. This track will be simply overshadowed. This single is undoubtably an anticipation builder. I am looking foward to hearing more from Letoya Luckett.

Definitely loving the song. I don’t understand why people think this song is ssoooo bad…please! If you are comparing Letoya to the amel larrieuxs, and jill scotts of the world then hell yeah it would sound weak. Amel and Jill are on a different level. I am not sure what people are expecting from Letoya but Beyonce, Kelly, Rihanna, etc. are her competition and she needs to put out songs that will appeal to that particular audience AND most 13 to 21 year olds are not listening to Amel or Jill.

This is nice and “radio friendly”, but I was expecting her to go in a different direction with an upbeat track since everyone seems to be doing ballads right now. I’m still looking forward to her new album though.
