Just one week after the historic inauguration of President Barack Obama, Madame Tussauds Washington D.C. today announced that it will unveil a wax figure of First Lady Michelle Obama in March and released photos of the figure’s clay head mold. Merlin Studios artists started working on the figure in late December.
Mrs. Obama will be the third First Lady to be immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds Washington D.C., joining Jacqueline Kennedy and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“We are honored to bring a figure of Michelle Obama to our Washington D.C. attraction,” said Janine DiGioacchino, General Manager of Madame Tussauds New York and Washington D.C. “As our nation’s first African American First Lady, a proud working mom and a budding style icon, Mrs. Obama is a role model to women around the corner, and around the globe. We know our visitors will love seeing and interacting with her figure.”
Mrs. Obama’s figure will join President Barack Obama’s figure in the attraction’s replica of the Oval Office.

The wrinkles are a bit much and the eyebrow is crooked, but other than that i thought it was spot on- it looks a lot like her.

Please people this is not some damn conspiracy to make Michelle look ugly, Michelle does look like that sorry to say. if you seen pics of her (and not some of the airbrushed ones they show on magazines) she does have wrinkles and one eye is slighty bigger than the other…i mean damn. she is an attractive woman that has flaws like everyone. you guys make it seem like they are drawing Aunt Jemaima or something. women of color do get wrinkles if they don’t take care of their skin. I think it is a compliment to her that all this attention is being paid to her style and her relationship, but it is not like she is the most beautiful woman in the world. calm down!

Why has the artist placed those wrinkles under her eyes? She doesn’t have those wrinkles in real life under her eyes (crowsfeet). And did he make her teeth look big enough? It’s an unflattering rendition IMO.
