Ervin Antonio Lupoe who had been recently let go from a Kaiser Permanente hospital in West Los Angeles, killed his wife, Ana, their five children: 8-year-old Brittney, 5-year-old twin girls Jaszmin and Jassely and 2-year-old twin boys Benjamin and Christian. He then took his own life after faxing a letter to KABC Channel 7 and calling the LAPD saying, “I just returned home, and my whole family has been shot.”
A suicide note found at the scene “indicated a business dispute” between Lupoe and Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center. In the faxed note to KABC, Lupoe said he was despondent over an employment situation. Both he and his wife were former employees of the medical center. According to reports, there were grounds for termination that did not come as a result of layoffs. Lupoe and his wife then made a suicide pact:
“So after a horrendous ordeal, my wife felt it better to end our lives, and why leave our children in someone’s else’s hands,” the note said.

In a video image taken from Glastonbury, Connecticut police on October 9, Superior Court Judge E. Curtissa Cofield is booked on a DUI charge that was filed after her car sideswiped a parked state police cruiser as she drove through a Route 2 construction zone.
The state’s Judicial Review Council found probable cause to pursue five judicial misconduct charges against Cofield, most stemming from comments she made to police. Check out her booking video released by the Judicial Review Council. The council has scheduled a hearing for Feb. 9 to determine whether Cofield violated the judicial code of conduct and, if so, what action to take against her.

Wow, terrible doesn’t even give this scenario justice. Him & his wife are nuts. Suicide is never the answer but why take the lives of those innocent children? They haven’t even began to experience life! I’m sure that either family members or someone would have adopted & cared for the children as their own. If there is an after life & you really have to answer to whoever you worship s/he brings down a wrath on the two of them so hard for eternity.

**Sprry but the only people I have sympathy for are those poor, poor children. What kind of man makes a pact with his wife to off themselves because they were fired from their jobs? Sorry, this man was WEAK. He shouldn’t have been a husband and father in the first place. No amount of financial despair is equal to the value of LIFE. I don’t care how “hard” times are. These people lived in a nice home that they probably were going to foreclose on. They probably had late-model vehicles. They were working class trying to live a middle class lifestyle. They were dysfunctional strivers and they paid the price for that. But real men don’t act like cowards, they take their beating and do BETTER.
Those children had a right to live and prosper. They could have left them with ANYONE! I can’t even imagine which ones they shot first and what the other ones had to witness. OMG…

Suicide is a very cowardous and selfish act.I have no respect for people who take their own lives and for someone to involve small innocent children is just plain unforgivable.I do not know why these parents felt that their situation was soooooooo bad that they would do this.I know people in worse situations and what do they do? They go through whatever so they can feed and care for their children I pray for those terrified children that died for nothing and I hate the parents for what they did!

I saw the wife’s family crying on the news yesterday. I don’t believe for a second that the wife agreed for suicide and not leaving the children with anyone. He was just a weak man.
