NEWS: MAN KILLS FAMILY & HIMSELF AFTER BEING FIRED / JUDGE CHARGED FOR DUI & VULGAR COMMENTS

Ervin Antonio Lupoe who had been recently let go from a Kaiser Permanente hospital in West Los Angeles, killed his wife, Ana, their five children: 8-year-old Brittney, 5-year-old twin girls Jaszmin and Jassely and 2-year-old twin boys Benjamin and Christian. He then took his own life after faxing a letter to KABC Channel 7 and calling the LAPD saying, “I just returned home, and my whole family has been shot.”

A suicide note found at the scene “indicated a business dispute” between Lupoe and Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center. In the faxed note to KABC, Lupoe said he was despondent over an employment situation. Both he and his wife were former employees of the medical center. According to reports, there were grounds for termination that did not come as a result of layoffs. Lupoe and his wife then made a suicide pact:

“So after a horrendous ordeal, my wife felt it better to end our lives, and why leave our children in someone’s else’s hands,” the note said.

Such a sad story. Visit the LA Times for updated coverage.

JUDGE CHARGED FOR DUI & VULGAR COMMENTS

In a video image taken from Glastonbury, Connecticut police on October 9, Superior Court Judge E. Curtissa Cofield is booked on a DUI charge that was filed after her car sideswiped a parked state police cruiser as she drove through a Route 2 construction zone.

The state’s Judicial Review Council found probable cause to pursue five judicial misconduct charges against Cofield, most stemming from comments she made to police. Check out her booking video released by the Judicial Review Council. The council has scheduled a hearing for Feb. 9 to determine whether Cofield violated the judicial code of conduct and, if so, what action to take against her.

The parents didn’t have faith in God. If they had, they would realize that we can’t live our lives for money…it always leads to destruction. I am praying for their family members. Such a shame…

  2. AJ

Life shouild not be that bad. The families of the 50s 60s and 70s had it bad.
This is not one of those times. I fear the life of those that were born after 1989.
Prey less people Get out And Do What Is Needed To Survive.

  3. KIDDO

….JUDAH- simply meaning a woman with kids can find more help through the system,
ie. “the government” take kindly to women out on their luck than men for some reason.
I really hate to say it but Food stamps, clothing and housing is available for women
who has no income, I know but it’s true, a man with no job is really shit out of Luck!
ha ha so back on her feet was a lil funny. PEACE OUT.

  4. KIDDO

JUDAH–are you a Preacher? well yes I do agree that all spirits go back unto the one holy spirit, But your SOUL is another part of you, Your SOUL is What you know of your heavenly father of assurity, that is what saved or lost, from a natural standpoint if you know nothing then you get nothing. For instance the world call the heavenly father so many Names, but the bible clearly states that their is only ONE Name in which you can be saved, so I ask do you know that One Name? also the bible states the the advisary has Many names, so you tell me why do people insist on calling the heavenly father so many names- so you see The heavenly father thoughts are above what we think, so that’s why I agree that you can’t judge where people faith lies.
Only our Maker can make that call!

  5. JUDAH

    —–@Kiddo

—–I asked you what you meant because I was a little taken aback by your honesty.
—–Most black women will not acknowledge that the system is set up for them to
—–succeed. Anyway, I agree with everything that you’ve said except for the
—–difference between the soul and the spirit. That is why the scripture tells us that
—–the Most High weigheth the spirits, meaning will judge them, and can kill the
—–soul (Prov 16:2, Matt 10:28). They are the same entity (Ezek 18:4, Zech 12:1).

  6. KIDDO

Hey Judah, Yeah I disagree to a point we are spirit, soul and body which is one, but when you die or move into the realm of eternity your body which is natural goes back unto dirt, your spirit goes back unto it’s source which is the holy spirit, but your Soul remains in a heavenly state or hell if you will, your soul is like unto your mind or thoughts, that part of you will or can’t die, so that’s why your thoughts are more important than your actions, it’s your intent that can make you or break you, That’s why you must be pure in your heart, soul and mind! yes because these three act as one. PEACE OUT. Oh yeah and thanks for being taken back by my honesty, I know no other way to be. holla.

  7. Meat

    —@126 Kiddo,

—-You need to restate your priorities. We can control our thoughts and intents.
—-Actions always speak louder that words. Our spirits will go to a place prepared
—-for it and based on the things we believe in. “Whosoever believeth in my name”!

—-But, moving right along. Let us remember what Gladys Knight said when things
—-get too rough in LA…! It’s time to catch the midnight train back to Georgia. LA
—-is a very expensive place to live. And, in hard times, it’s better to just pack up
    —-rather than give up.

  8. JUDAH

    —–@Kiddo

—–What scripture says that the soul goes to heaven or hell sis? You said that the
—–soul can’t die, but the scripture that I cited tells you that the Most High can kill
—–the soul (Matt 10:28). The thoughts are not any more important than your actions.
—–The scripture is clear that we will be judged by our DEEDS (Matt 16:27, Rom 2:5,
—–6, etc.). In addition to that what scripture makes a distinction between the soul
    —–and the spirit?

  9. KIDDO

MEAT…the bible says so if you think IT! yes you can control your thoughts and intents, but lets be real, some can’t that’s why there is so much devastation in the world today, so many CARRY out there thoughts, that’s all Im saying, so for goodness sake try not to let your precious mind influence your actions. That’s why you need to always listen to that soft voice First, which is the holy spirit telling you not to do something, that’s why most people say I SHOULD HAVE LISTEN TO MY FIRST MIND! (lol). I know you have done that before many times. no no don’t say you haven’t. ONE LUV!

  10. KIDDO

JUDAH, what I said is that your soul will be in a heavenly State or hell, there is no location, preachers say heaven is up younder and hell is below, which is wrong, you can be in heaven yet while we speak depending where your heart and mind is, it’s not a location-but a state of peace, hell or devastion is the same way! Being in heaven to me is knowing my heavenly father as he really is and actually exists. I know for a fact that I don’t have to die to be saved, that my father has already saved me, that’s why he sacrificed or sufferd his body to be put on the cross, but it’s the Resurrection that’s important! not the death. So you see the most high can kill the soul and it also states that he can make it alive, and that’s by knowing him. Knowledge is Power in both the natural and spiritual.

  11. JUDAH

    ——@ Kiddo

——Sis, that’s why I asked you what scripture proves what you were saying, because
——I knew that you were speaking from your own opinion. Lol, it’s all good though.
——Just remember that you do yourself a diservice when you concoct a doctrine and
——attribute it to the Lord (Prov 16:25, Colossians 2:8, Hebrews 13:9). Either you
——know the scriptures or you don’t.

  12. KIDDO

Judah, don’t think that quatation from the bible makes you a scholar, I have not drumed up any false doctrin, I see you know a few scriptures but it’s Your interpretation of it that can destroy a person soul, that why so many people has fallen from so called preachers because they make doctrin to fit there life style not the saviors. So tell me do you think the man or woman who can’t read scripture will be saved or lost, or will the father like you said will judge the intent of his heart.

It’s all good have a blessed day!

  13. Provost...

A bizarre situation indeed. I will say this: it’s ridiculous to infer that these parents necessarily had some fundamental or puritanical reason for murdering their children.

Yikes @ the judge. As for Judah on women in law… ::shrug:: I swear that man must have access to a time machine or something. I find it hard to believe anyone living in full-time in this decade (or century, really) can hold those kinds of opinions.

  14. JUDAH

    —–@Kiddo

—–This is not a conversation about whether I’m a “scholar” or not. We’ve established
—–one thing though, you are not a scholar, nor can you justify your OPINION about
—–the Bible. Let’s establish, I just wanted to see what you were speaking about in
—–regards to the black woman having an easier time in this society. You answered
—–that question. I’m not interested in people’s OPINIONS about God. I like truth.
—–Whenever people’s OPINION gets refuted, they go into that “it’s your
—–interpretation nonsense. 1+1=2. Is that an interpretation or a truth? The man or
—–woman that cannot understand scripture is already lost and the Most High is the
—–one that took away their understanding because he does not want everyone
    —–(Job 17:4, Psalms 69:22,23, Isaiah 6:9-12, Isaiah 44:18, Rom 11:7-10, etc.). Sis,
—–no offence, but this links up with what I said about the black female judge. You
—–sisters are not supposed to teach because you lead with your emotions (I Cor 14:
—–34,35, I Tim 2:12-15). That’s why it’s hard for you to acknowledge that you can’t
    —–prove anything.

    —–@Provost

—–Why do you follow me and critique everything I say when you cannot refute it, lol?
—–I hold the “opinions” that I hold because obviously newer doesn’t mean better, but
—–it is the nature of you women to accept whatever is given to you. A woman is not
—–supposed to judge cases of law or law enforcement. That is the job of the man.
—–It is common sense and easily discernible that the woman is emotional by nature.
—–Not even all men are qualified to judge, certainly not a woman.

  15. TMACK

No, may his soul be restless in hell!!!

  16. KIDDO

Wow, Judah, Calm down! how can you say a person is lost is he or she don’t know scripture, that’s a mighty poor heavenly Father you serve if you believe that! The Father I serve can make anyone whole, we all have fallen short of his grace! BUT
it IS by his GRACE that we are saved, not by Scripture!

Sorry dude, I feel sorry for you.

  17. KIDDO

Judah, all I am saying is you can read scripture till your eyes fall out, but if your heart and mind has not made a spiritual change then all your reading is in vain.

It takes the Holy Spirit to change your heart and mind so that you can be one with him in Righteousness! In all honesty all you have to do is Believe in him and ask with all your heart and soul and he will Deliver.

I Love you, even though I don’t know you PEACE.

  18. grant

I guess pro-choice people figures this makes sense since they children probably wouldn’t have a chance in this life without their parents…I mean that’s why you abort kids from rape or incest since their life is guaranteed to be ruined before it starts…I guess the parents figured the same….

  19. JUDAH

    @Kiddo

Sis, now you’re starting to act fake, lol. Read your comment (#115) where you said, “A real woman know how to make ‘$hit’ happen”, lol. That was the real you, the black female supremacist you. Now you’re coming at me with that fake black christian church “I love you” garbage, and that “I feel sorry for you”, delusional spirit. Keep it real like when you said when a black man loses his job he is $hit out of luck while the black woman will be subsidized. That was truth. I like truth. Sis I didn’t say people were lost if they are not given the understanding of the scripture, the Bible says it (II Cor 4:3-6). Did you read any of the scriptures I cited to see if I was telling you the truth, or did you just get emotionally offended? That’s why I cited scripture to PROVE it (I Thes 5:21). My OPINION is irrelevant, as is yours, but you don’t seem to understand that because you lead with your emotions (Prov 9:13). I don’t believe that you believe in the Bible, but that is a whole other topic.

  20. lili

5 beautiful black children, with successful parents

    gone.

cause of the dollar they trust
which owned them at the end.

  21. Rachel

I honestly think that man, killed his family out of stress then called the cops thinking maybe I’ll get off… Then once reality set in he wrote of some quick note saying it was a pact that he and his wife made and killed himself, in order not to be villanized by the media and his family wouldn’t be soo ashamed of him.

  22. KIDDO

Judah…I’m not coming at you with no fake black christian crap, I try to keep it real at all times, it’s clear we have different views on things, and that’s ok! that is what makes the world go around. and as far as believing in scripture I do to a point! and yes I believe that all things should be proven to your satisfaction, as long as your satisfied with scripture then so be it. I just believe things must be revealed according to the holy spirit within you, that is what he died for. So again if you think women lead by emotion then so be it. My emotions has never led me wrong yet so, I just have to go with it! (lol) and for the record I don’t have to be a christian to love you. Again have a blessed day! oh yeah I like it when you call me Sis that’s cute.
