II’m live in Indianapolis, and Coach Dungy will be missed dearly. He is a great man, and he is not afraid to put his faith and religion in his organization, and Jim Irsay, the players, and the fans knew that and respected that. He didn’t cuss too often, but when he did the players got their acts together and did what they had to do. There wasn’t too much drama in the Colts organization. I’m pleased that his successor is yet another black man. I hope Jim Caldwell does as great a job as Tony Dungy did. He says he still wants to work with the Indianapolis youth with the programs he has already started.

What judge could have possibly ruled him mentaly competent to stand trial? He needs to be in the prisons psych ward.

That is a damned shame. And Im sure they will get off. We should not have to walk out our houses with vests on!

Thats really big of Dungy, so many people dont listen to that voice telling them to move on.

I live in Connecticut and in the past 2 days 2 men shot at and went at the police. This is going to get out of hand but it’s sad at the same time. I saw the video where they blatantly killed Oscar Grant. I just can’t imagine what was going through his head at the time and being killed unexpectedly. I hope they get what they deserve. God bless each and every family that this is effecting. Stay strong and fight for your/our rights..

Clearly Andre Thomas is not fit to stand trial! He has serious psychological issues and is a threat to the earth. I am appalled and disgusted after reading what he did!

1. Another innocent black man falling victim to injustice by police officers. Unarmed but shot 12 times in the back and then just left like garbage on the streets? What’s going on? Man can’t do nothing but harm each other, only God will avenge justice for this young man and so many others like him. May God help the Grimes family with this ordeal- A SHAME!

2. Andre Thomas - is a SICKO! He’s obviously deranged. The manner in how he killed his family and now eating his own eyeball should send a clear message to the Judge- HE’S MENTALLY DERANGED, RETARDED and DEMONIZED. I’m not the one to ultimately decide, but I would put this ********* out of his misery. After reading this I almost puked and still feel that way. RIP for his poor wife and innocent babies.

Some people are arguing the eyeball eater is doing this to cop the “insanity plea”. But it some sick plotting and nerves to gouge out your own eye then eat it. I’m just wondering why he didn’t try to pluck out his heart and eat that instead? I’m done.

I’m glad so many people are getting involved with these shootings that make no sense. When this first happened the first thing they tried to put out was the fact that he had guns and rounds so that meant “he was obviously getting ready to start something.”
-He has a permit to carry weapons, meaning he can store them in his car as well, which goes to show that he was no convicted felon of any sort.

-Why was a narcotics unit even running up near his car to handle a “shooting ” case. That has nothing to do with them. It’s obvious that they stereotyped his car. They saw a dark car with tints so he must be a drug dealer or some type of thug they were guessing.

- Did they ever run the plates on the vehicle?

-They were in plain clothes so did they identify themselves. Did they even have their blue lights on?

- Why were there 12 shots in his back. It was obvious that he was running. It’s impossible to shoot backwards while ur back is turned to the target unless your some type of catortionist. He would atleast have to turn sideways to do it and the coroner already anounced that there were no bullets found in his sides.

-If he had shot them first, wouldn’t atleast one officer primarily the first to reach the car, had been shot somewhere? Adolph was sitting in his car so he would’ve hit one close range. No cops were harmed.

I agree with the judge. He is crazy but he still should have to pay for killing his wife and kids. There is NO excuse!!! No trial is good there is NO NEED to drag it out in court WASTING tax payers money!

Another option if he stays in jail would be to place him in a cellt he size of a closet, with no lights and feed him grits for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cheap alterntive. If we gonna have to pay for him to stay in prison I would rather he get some punishment while in there. Sorry to be so harsh but there are 3 people no longer here because of this FOOL!!!

Mental Illness is a SERIOUS issue that should not be taken lightly. The sad thing about this whole story is that those murders could have probably been prevented if people paid attention to the signs and got him help!

I used to work for one of the largest behavioral health centers in Middle Georgia and the primary provider of mental health services. With the recession going on, the first thing that went were services for the mentally ill and group homes to help these people. So now all the clients we used to help are just walking around town w/o meds. I’m sure there will be more stories like this to come…

It is so sad to know he lost his life at the hands of nopd officers when there are so many thugs running around the city acting a fool. It seems as if NOPD cant get anything right. Criminals are rarely caught and convicted of crimes but normal citizens suffer at the hands of NOPD. I did not know Grimes but we did have parallel lives. We are both from New Orleans Grad from single ed catholic schools in 2004 and have friends in common. He could have very well been one of my friends. May he rest in peace.

Wow, This is so sad! I don’t see how they can just shoot an innocent person like that, and obviously not feel bad about it. I hope they get the punishment they deserve! He was somebody’s son, father, etc.. And his family, loved ones are the ones who are gonna have to suffer from this.
