Angie, Obama has said that this recession would get worse before it gets better. Keep in mind Angie, Peter also dealt with an administration who did not even want to admit that there was a problem. The longer you let any problem go…there will be consequences. He (Obama) purposely put time lines in all of his economic proposals. For example, he said it may take up to 10 years before people even see results. We as a nation understand that this will take time. I just believe that God will do great things through this man. In the mean time, we need to understand that this bad economy lies partly with the consumer. In this country we are a plastic society. We do not even stop or look at the money we spend. For example, I think the sign of the times occurred when McDonalds began to accept credit cards. If you cannot afford McDonalds, should you really be out?

In order to save our economy, we will have to invest in ourselves in order to lift our economy. We have to reinvest in our economy in order to give it a shock. I didn’t have a problem with what Peter said, but we have to be careful not to let a cloud of doom take away from this joyous moment.

The best way to help the people is by educating them. I’ve posted two men, who people have ridiculed; yet everything they have said; working closely with the government came true. I know this is a bit much to swallow, and everyone feel high from having a black president. However, we should not forget history. I’m not looking forward to the hardship, of course I live here now, so I don’t see the point of being gloomy. I am a realist! If I see things happening as predicted and especially people working so close in government; I know they know what they are talking about.

I have a question is it just me or is President-elect Obama the only president I remember giving weekly addresses? Is that customary for presidents-elect to do it before they are officially inaugurated (excuse spelling if incorrect) bc I don’t remember Bush doing weekly addresses.

Also Angie, you make good points but what the American public needs to understand is that this is simple common sense. The economy didn’t get to this point overnight so don’t expect Pres. Obama to make it getter any better overnight. The Madoff/ Ponzi scheme has been going on for years. The auto industry’s troubles in nothing new, along with the mortgage crisis. It was only going to be a matter of time before the house of cards that is our economy tumble. Pres. Obama said it himself that the economy is going to get worse before it gets better. Pres. Obama also said that it might not even get better in his first term, but lets get the ball rulling and make the changes necessary.

I respect Obama to the fullest and I’m very proud that he is our nation’s leader but it is not only him to get the nation back on track. America needs EVERYBODY. These political divisions (Conservatives vs. liberals/Republicans vs. Democrats) need to end. We all need to come together to make this economy become stimulated again. We as a people also need to realize that during his term Obama may do some actions or make some decisions that you may not agree with you. Hell Clinton did, but I still support him because I had to see the bigger picture. This messiah complex that this country has for Obama troubles me because we expect ONE man to change everything when we are all capable of doing what we need to do to make this country great and the world power we always claim that it is.

Sis (if you’re a black woman); you should go to see the new movie, ” The Day The Earth Stood Still”, starring Keanu Reeves. Many subliminal messages were dropped in that film, one being what you are speaking on. Hillary Clinton was anointed to lead America into it’s new age. Her and Barack Obama are being used in tandem to bring women and “minorities” into the fold of the New World Order. In the film, as America was going through it’s various calamities, the “Secretary of the State” (played by Kathy Bates) was the one calling all the shots and giving all the orders. The president did not even appear in the film. This was meant to show that Hillary Clinton will be the one really running things behind the scenes. That title of “presidency”, means nothing and is a smokescreen. As you’ve said, the president must be sponsored and co-signed upon by the international bankers and oil magnates (who are the chairman of the Illuministic groups you speak of).

As much as this country wants to look at the future, we as a people cannot allow Bush and Cheney to escape without repercussions for their actions. Why you ask? Let’s look at President Bush’s legacy. George Bush played on the minds of fickle with fear mongering and tricked the country into war with Iraq. Bush inherited the country in surplus and now we are bankrupt. Why should Obama appoint Negroes just to appoint Negroes? He appoints those who he feels can carry out his policies in a manner that is going to reflect positively on him, his administration and the American people. If it happens that there is only one Negro on his squad when all is said and done, then so be it. Furthermore, a lot of these Negro politicians were demonizing him throughout his campaign. @JUDAH you were right about what you said in regards to The Day The Earth Stood Still. One of it’s many messages was to show Hillary as the one who they initially purposed to be the President. However I aIso believe and have read several places that it was in fact Hillary who was to become president to sell the image of “Change” thereby ushering in the new world order.

I also believe that Obama wasn’t meant to win however being that they own all the major networks, news media and basically hollywood (including the celebs) they were able to use his popularity to their advantage after it became apparent that Hillary lost and MicCain’s camp was a joke. I understand national debt and budget surplus. Countries, like business will always have debt, because they all operate on a credit terms. Give me goods now; I have 90 days to pay. So debt is not bad. When Clinton left office, the US had debt but the country’s assets were more than its liabilities. That lent to a very stable balance sheet. Accounting 101! Now under Bush, our debt has increased and our assets have decreased. Judah it’s great that you know a lot about prophecies, but you missed half of the point I was trying to make. Not only was I trying to say that prophecies are vague, but I was also saying that they don’t come up until after the fact that something happens. You said Isaiah predicted 9-11 would happen, but why was the prophecy not taken seriously before it happened? If it’s so true (not saying it isn’t) and clearly understandable, we could have been well prepared. After tragedy has occured, it’s easy to go back to a prophecy and make it say what you want it to say.

And if they’re only vague to the spiritually obtuse, where was you since you’re so ’spiritually saved’? Why didn’t you warn us? You and a lot of other spiritually saved people got some damn explaining to do.

Who said that the prophecy wasn’t taken seriously in old time? The ancients considered the prophecy, but like anything else, until it comes to pass no one is sure what it means at the time. That does not mean that it wasn’t taken seriously. Furthermore, you speak of prophecies like 9/11 from the standpoint of it being stopped. That’s an oxymoronic thought to believe that you could, or should, stop a divine prophecy because it doesn’t jibe with your opinion of what righteousness is. You are wrong again. Constantine invented the Catholic Church. While Christianity actually existed before Constantine, it was actually a minor sect of Judaism. Several of the European belief systems were combined with the belief of the Jewish people who had considered Jesus to be their Rabbi. Jesus Christ of Nazareth birthed Christianity in the area of Jerusalem. Constantine did not even “kind of” invent Christianity. Every time speak on these topics you say “I am trying to appear as a scholar.” I may not have attended an Ivy League school, like you did (lol) but I went to a very highly accredited university (yes, paid for by Uncle Sam) so I had access to many books

@Judas…Good answer. We agree on most topic pertaining to our people, the only disagreement we have is our support for Barack Obama. So as long as the topic of debate isn’t about Obama we can find a common ground.
