I will only buy her cd if it is 7.99 only if I can preview first. Keri does nothing for me musically. I like Jazz, Duffy, Adele Beyonce (again), Rihanna, Alicia, Mary, Mariah and Floetry n JHud I can jam to all of those cd’s depending on the mood i’m in. Keri just hasn’t come out with anything that makes we want to be like yeah she’s the bomb.

talent surpass any bar! bey can’t shut down alicia, fantashia, jhud, etc because TALENT! bey is trying to keep up because theres talent on her level or else she would never had to beg. bey play with the media for hype like jay said he married mj, bey is not britney so please. but hey, most celebs play with the media. okay im side tracking, but my point is people don’t sleep on iconic talent, if you are meant to be a star you will. if you are meant to be a gimmic or have a chopped and screwed music gig you will. keri is okay, but extraordinary and a must add to the biz, shes not and thats not an opinion its a fact or else they would have chased her down like jhud. when you have it they search for you!

The music industry SUCKS right now. Either they sing but cant dance, or dance but cant sing. All the heavy hitters are all light-skinned - Britney, Alicia, Rhianna, Hannah Montana, etc. Keri seems like a nice girl, but right now she seems ordinary. She’s pretty but her music is ok. I’m older than these girls and want to show them what to do to get some fresh air back in this industry. I’m putting it out on youtube.

And enough with the Bey-comparisons to Evvvvvvvvveryone in the world. (I love B’s style and her music in the club, but I have sense.. I know what GOOD music sounds like. I like Keri Hilson’s lyrics.. but I do agree like so many others that she needs to break away from today’s crappy sound. But I do think she has great potential! Maybe just do a little more soul searching. She is a VERY hard worker.. and it shows.

Whether or not it’s good music as a whole is subjective, I know..but the cookie cutter styles, sounds and lyrics ARE what’s KEEPIN us in a recession. Like some of us said.. she just needs the right push..

THE SOLUTION: I think we as a PEOPLE need to be on a grassroots effort to STOP BULLSHIT MUSIC before it hits the shelves.. Just BAN certain artists from making records for a while.. (I’m sure each of us has SOMEONE in mind.. it ain’t hard to find a crappy ‘artist’ out there) Some of these folks should NOT have the gift of even callin themselves an Artist.. i mean damn.. what ART did they make?
As with everything, I think it starts with the people. We need to get the message out that WE AS LISTENERS DESERVE BETTER..
