Taraji P. Henson arrives at the Director In Residence tribute for David Fincher on day 9 of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday in Santa Barbara, California.
The now Academy Award nominated actress also had a private get together in Beverly Hills earlier this week in honor of the nomination. Baby Boy co-star Tyrese Gibson and Baby Boy Director John Singleton came to show some support.

Taraji has been looking SO awesome lately. Just wish the boobies were tucked in some in that 1st flick…but she looks great.
The haircut is HOT & that second outfit is so cute.
I wish her much success.

I love this girl but why does she always look twisted to me.
She looks great, rockin my hair style and all….
That was so nice of them to come and support. I loved her in Baby Boy
Taraji is my favorite actress, I am so glad she is getting recognized for her work. She looks beautiful…I hope she wins Oscar!!! Go Taraji!
Taraji is flawless at all times.
She looks fabulous in the flesh tone dress. The whole ensemble is gorgeous!
Taraji looks good, I love how she reps DC with class and not like ass, like some folks. Taraji or Viola Davis have my vote.
Pure fab
I love this girl!!!! She’s my new fav actress. It would be wonderful if she win the nom!!!
Also she seems really down to earth.
this sista is doing it! congrats lady!
She looks amazing as always.
I always like her hair & face, but the styling…
It’s 2009 and the black woman still looks at it as an honor to play whores, maids, and babysitters for the white man in his movies, lol. That is the only time that their performances get recognized.
I think she looks a mess in that first pic. The skirt isn’t flattering to her figure at all. but I love T, so it’s all good BIIIIITCH!!!
LOL! WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE TARAJI AND TYRESE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE TOGETHER IN REAL LIFE….I LOVE THAT MOVIE BABY BOY….I COULDN’T STAND SNOOP IN THAT MOVIE, ALTHOUGH I ADORE HIM IN REAL LIFE.
@JUDAH
AND IT’S 2009 AND JUST LIKE A BROKEN RECORD, YOU’RE STILL HATING ON BLACK WOMEN YOU TIRED SACK OF SHIT!
I love me some tarji henson she is doin the damn thang , so head sista , she is so beautiful and poise with talent
baby girl looks fly as the moon all slimed up and EVERYTHANG. i would like to put my 2 cents in now about the issue of body styles and this jessica simpson on the defense now that people are talking about her body and how she is look’n now days. she ain’t got a leg to stand on . it was her that said “real girls eat meat” now look at her ass. compare her to carrie underwood now…… night and damn day. i tried to give you folks a heads-up and these meat products that the gov’t [FDA] won’t even police. these people have a high demnad to get that meat on the market and it calls for feeding that cattle w/ growth hormones.steroids, antiboitcs, and everything else. and people wander why they are walking around looking like hogs and cattle ready for slaughter. i told you big dummies to curtailed that red meat and pork aka pig. ya asses is blow’n up . even the little teenagers got them big bootys at 12 yrs old like grown women. watch out there now.
LOL!!! Looking like hogs and cattle ready for slaughter! This site cracks me up!
Taraji looks fly! I love her hair cut!
@ JUDAH,
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is based on a short story written in 1921, not 2000. What else what we doing during that time?
@#21,
WTF are you talking about?
I really love this girl I hope that she wins she deserves it b/c the movie Benjamin Button was off the chain.
Nice woman, but she has really long arms….

YAY! I love her, she’s so beautiful, and very talented, and FINALLY she gets her kudos, props, and credits because they were deserved!
Why are her eyes always red? Everything else on her always looks nice except for the redness in her eyes. It’s not just in these pictures but in all pictures she takes. Is she sick?

I love Taraji so much. She brings something different to the table.
Ooooh look at her and Jody!
I just wanna know what did Tyra see in John Singleton? Anyway, I’m very proud of Taraji because clearly the industry had been sleepin on her skills! She’s a pretty versatile actress and would love to see more of her!
That’s right Tyrese! Show some luv for your girl! Wink!

@ JUDAH
That is so true. A lot of people are in denial about it, but that is one of the main reasons why Halle was awarded with an Oscar. She showed her ass (literally) and was recognized.
Im certain that Taraji P. Henson had to go to the “directors couch” to get that role.
This woman has a LOT of talent. But she always looks so “hard” in her face. Did she have a difficult upbringing?
@ JUDAH
Apparently you didn’t realize that more than one black actress is nominated for, “Best Supporting Actress” this year. She plays a mother in the movie “Doubt”, and her real name is Viola Davis.
Also, last year Ruby Dee was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress” last year for her role in “American Gangster”. She played a mother.
And just a side note, black actresses have been nominated for roles outside of “whores, maids, and babysitters”. Do some research on Oscar nominated Black actresses and the roles they were actually nominated for instead of assuming!
And that goes for anyone else who thinks the same as “JUDAH”
@ JUDAH
Did you take the time to see the entire movie? Taraji was phenomenal!
Where’s your momma? Do you call your momma your babysitter?
I ask because in this role, Taraji “manages” a home in New Oraleans for the elderly and those that are considered “outcasts” in society. It’s not only her job but her passion. I can only hope and pray for such a woman or a place in my twilight years. There are black, white, creole, male & female that live and work at this home. Taraji independently makes the decision to accept the responsibility of becoming a baby’s MOTHER, when the wealthy father leaves the child on the doorstep of the home she manages. This child has the most horrific disease that is visible the moment anyone lays eyes upon him. She let’s everyone at the home know that this baby is her “FAMILY” and she is his MOTHER. He grows up and forever, in every situation and emotion, calls her his MOTHER, even when he finds out who is really his wealthy father.
It is a love story! A MOTHER’S love for humanity, a MOTHER’s love for her son, a son’s love for his MOTHER, a MOTHER’s impact on a son’s character, a MOTHER’s lessons to a son in forgiveness, a son’s journey in finding the love of his life using the love & wisdom he learned from his MOTHER, and a man’s deep love of his child even when he has to walk away from his baby daugther but only because he truly believes what his MOTHER taught him that there are people who have a genuine love of humanity. And then the most difficult and saddest lesson for a MOTHER to teach and prepare her child…Death of those in their life and their own! There is a lot more to this movie and a lot of takeaways!
Taraji nailed it in every scene!
JUDAH you need to get to the theatre more often!
She looks good int he second pic…. Good Luck Taraji!
This is another flawless woman in the eye of the public. At first I was a hater or maybe B.E.T. played “Baby Boy” to often. But she is beautiful and has much talent. I wish her the best and look forward to any movie that has her in it.
Jody, my Jody…It’s nice to see them together again. They’re one of those movie couples that actually worked well together and seemed like a good on-screen match. Luv it!
Now, on the other hand Taraji has been looking very nice lately and landing more diverse roles, but I can’t seem to get “ghetto” outta my head everytime I see her in a film (the same with LisaRaye, Players Club ruined her for me), I still get a lil bit of her role in Baby Boy in most of her films, even in “Not easily Broken” when she was playing a successful businesswoman, she sounded to me like a ghetto businesswoman maybe it’s the voice or maybe I have her typecast, I dunno…
