The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced today that the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Bow Wow will perform at the Kids’ Inaugural, a concert honoring military families that will be held Monday night. Along with their parents, Malia and Sasha Obama are expected to be in attendance. There’s a reason the lineup features so many Disney stars: The event will be televised at 8 p.m. on the Disney Channel and then streamed on Disney.com.

The Disney/ABC Television Group also has exclusive rights to another major inauguration event: Tuesday’s Neighborhood Ball, the first gala of the night that the newly sworn-in President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will attend. Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Faith Hill, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Shakira and Stevie Wonder are all scheduled to perform. Beyonce is performing at TWO events. One on the Lincoln MEMORIAL with A list legends and entertainers, and one on TUESDAY, The day of the inauguration hosted by Obama’s Team.

If your event is NOT EMBOSSED with the President signing off on it. Nor is your event being captured by a major network, or a major cable channel, then it is not officially inauguration. Beyonce’s events will be attended by the President, and were chosen to be held by the Inaugural committee.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers are slated to perform on the eve of President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration at a concert for children, and a day later, the Obamas will have their first dance at a ball headlined by Beyonce, Jay-Z and Stevie Wonder.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced the talent lineup Tuesday for the “Kids’ Inaugural: We Are the Future” concert honoring military families, which will air Monday night, Jan. 19, on the Disney Channel. The Neighborhood Inaugural Ball, which will allow the Obamas to meet some of their new neighbors in the District of Columbia, will be broadcast live on ABC on Jan. 20. It also will feature Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Faith Hill, Alicia Keys and Shakira.

“We are bringing these exciting performances into the homes of millions of Americans to make this the most open and accessible inauguration celebration ever,” Emmett Beliveau, executive director of the inaugural committee, said in announcing the lineup.

Obama revealed during the campaign that he listens to Jay-Z on his iPod. And the president-elect’s daughters are fans of Cyrus and her Disney show, “Hannah Montana.”

Just after the election, Cyrus’ father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus invited the Obama daughters to appear on the “Hannah Montana” show. The Disney Channel issued a statement saying they’re welcome any time.

For their part, Beyonce, husband Jay-Z and Blige earned their stripes by campaigning for Obama just before the election in states like Pennsylvania, Florida and Ohio. Obama’s win brought Beyonce to tears, she said after the election, and she immediately volunteered to help on Inauguration Day.

“I’m there. I can’t wait. I feel like all of us, we’re ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I’m there, and I’m ready,” a giddy Beyonce told The Associated Press the day after the election.
