I know some ladies made New Years Resolutions to save a few dollars and here’s a great start for your 2009 shopping list. Compare these runway inspired items to the real designer duds and make your choice for a deal or the designer…
First up is this popular Balenciaga Fall 2008 off-shoulder dress, which retails over $1000 – Bebe has a very similar copy for much less and in more color options.
Gucci’s Fall 2008 is still all the rave this season. Bakers made a cheaper boot inspired off Gucci’s Devandra studded heels.
And Bakers doesn’t stop there – remember those fierce Chloe boots Kelis rocked a few months ago? The wrap around Chloe boots retail for close to $800, while Bakers offers a copy on sale for $99 bucks.
And yet another great alternative to a designer item. These super hot Givenchy birdcage booties though marked down, will cost you close to $500, while flyjane offers a copy for $55!
What I find funny is all this shit is ugly. Wait I take that back… everything besides the studded boots (which may I add are just OKAY and not even worth the bakers’ price unless they are genuine leather) are ugly ass hell. That’s sad they got the spotlight… of all things in the WORLD of fashion… this shit gets the spotlight??? WHY? And please don’t say A DAMN WORD about it being hot on the runways because that means shit itself.

To all the people claiming they are “fashionistas” and knocking people for buy items that are inspired by an over-priced designer item, that isn’t out of their reach and won’t have them being evicted at the beginning of the next month cuz they bought a $1000 pair of boots or shoes…just do your thing and don’t worry about everyone else…when no one REALLY cares anyway…even some people who have Balenciaga shoes and Chloe bags and all that other designer stuff don’t know how to dress… and the shoes or bag can’t complement a horrendous outfit! So it doesn’t matter and even some things that don’t cost alot (because alot of the stuff that I see by the BIG designers is butt-ugly and still costs $800 for a t-shirt) can look better than the design that it’s inspired by…And if it’s just that simple to just buy those things, shoot me a few thousand then…it shouldn’t put a dent in your pockets!

LOL @ 63!!! Isn’t that the truth. But really and truly when I see these stars wearing the big name brands and they paid what? for a plain white t shirt, when I could get a pack of hanes for 10 dollars. I just try to think smarter about thing. Now I do think that paying a little bit more my a nice fitting jeans or dress clothes is not that bad. Also I am big on buying essential time pieces. But hey if you want to spend your money on big name items go right ahead, it is a free country. But lets invest in stocks also….
for the Givenchy Birdcage bootie, GoJane has them for $ 30 bucks ! I got a pair & they are FAB!!!!
