♫ THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW ♫

♫ 50 Cent – Get It In (full) – listen
Check out 50 Cent’s second single from his new album, Before I Self Destruct, which has had a couple of problems as far as release. The new song is produced by Dr. Dre, who 50 has garnered plenty of success with. I was a little confused, because “Get It In” is so close to the title of the first single, “Get Up,” which we posted back in October. The new single isn’t anything really to write home about, but I guess it’ll serve it’s purpose.

♫ Teairra Mari – Holla (full) – listen
I’m super excited about Teairra Mari’s new project, actually. This is exactly the direction that I think she should be taking with her music. Even though it’s quite different from the more urban songs that she recorded for her 2005 debut, I think that this music suits Mari vocally. I can’t wait until her new video for “Hunt 4 U” drops and when there’s some more official information about the album.

♫ Bow Wow feat. Jermaine Dupri – Rock Da Mic (full) – listen
Sorry we were a little late with this one, but check out the new single from Bow Wow, featuring Jermaine Dupri. Although Bow isn’t signed to the SoSo Def imprint anymore, the two reunited for this new song and Jermaine has said that Bow Wow is like a son or little brother to him, and they will always work together. Although the song isn’t quite my cup of tea, I can see the gimmick and it will definitely get a lot of radio and video play.

♫ London feat. Sweet Rush – Trust Me (full) – listen
These two Motown/Universal signees team for the song “Trust Me.” It seems as though a lot of London’s material is finding its way to the internet. What’s going to be left for his album? Stuff seems to be leaking left and right. I actually am digging this mellow track. I was expecting to hear a little more from the girls from Sweet Rush (check out their MySpace), but their performance on this track was pretty limited.

Wow! someone’s evolved! and that person is Ms. Mari. I’m almost proud! is this really the same girl who sang ‘No Daddy’? it does sound a little too similar to Hunt, but really, is that a bad thing?

Sad to say, those who hate on other success are the ones leaving poor and hating ass comments..

    I feeling that Tierra track.
    Hope it blows up!
    Good luck Titi.

@#2 Rihanna won’t lose fans to Tierra Marie. RIhanna and Tierra make much different music and RIhanna is countinually persuing much more of a pop sound. Rihanna won’t lose fans behind Tierra but the person RIhanna will probablly lose fans to is that chick Lady Gaga.

50 Cent- Same old, same old. It’s boring, the Dr. Dre beat isn’t even all that.

Teairra Mari-I think this would be a better lead single than “Hunt 4 U”.

Bow Wow-Aw, this is cute. I wouldn’t be jamming to this, but the song is good for what it is. A mentor and protege giving each other props.

    London-Average R&B song.

LOL@ some of the comments about Teairra. Dang at least let the child come out with the CD first. More than one female can shine at a time. Music is about giving listeners a vareity of everything and a vareity of artists, some of y’all on this blog make everything about stats and who’s outshining so and so it’s ridiculous. I think soundscan and the internet ruined how we accept music now, especially when it comes to female singers. Joe Buddens said it best on “Who Killed Hip Hop”, music went downhill when” 50 had everybody looking at the numbers.”

Teirrra Marie looks like a bootleg Lil Kim

Is it me (because I didn’t read other comments… yet lol) or does Ms. Mari sound similar to Ms. Hilson??? Anywho, her song was decent and I agree w/ Brian. The way her latest “leaks” are going, they fit her WAY better than that crap was on her debut. The other song I listened to was London’s and that ish was wack. It sounds like the song on the commercial about McNuggets lol.

Woow. I really like Ms mari new song, I always liked her and plus I show her mad love since shes from my hometown Detroit…..I Know why Ms Mari didnt go as far as ms RiRi because one…shes herself….second…shes no puppet and last but not least they gave her some wack azz ghetto songs to sing besides…”feel good”…I think thats the name of it…but anyways….the girl can sing…I love her voice…and I wish her much success……..

I am definitely feeling the songs I heard so far from Teairra Mari….
I just hope this time around she is promoted better because her voice is really sick and not everyone can sing these days no matter how many numuber 1′s you have when it all comes down you still can’t sing like Ri Ri and Mariah Carey…Hate to hear a live performance from them but they have number 1′s….Lol

  15. planet.rone

    ~ 50 Cent – irrelevant. i don’t think he’ll ever really reclaim the spotlight.

~ Teairra Mari- the song is cute but not quite my cup of tea. i like her, though, & i hope she gets some shine!

~ Bow Wow- Don’t really care for his music. he just seems fake, like he’s tryna be hard. at least to me! i guess i’ll listen to it later, though

  16. TANYA

???? uHH HELL NAW DEM SONGZ i WACK AS HELL!! Da 50Cent I could vibe to dat bumb but da rest of them songs is garbage and a waist of computer space. Bow Wow need a slap believe dat!!

  17. djyan

YOU PEOPLE BEEN ON FIF DICK UP IN HERE.. SHIISSH.. PURE HATE!

  18. REAL PERSON

I like bow wow and London’s songs and as for the rest. Next.
I will agree that Tieairra sounds much better than ri but she is not ri and she will not take her fans.
I think she is trying too hard to be ri ri and its not a good look to me.
    she needs her own image.

  19. Wes B

I know 50 fell off with the last few albums. He working back with Dre on this album so I won’t sleep on this album because Dre put his first cd on the map for real. The song will be a club banger so most people on here can’t say they would’nt dance to it just like In the Club. The rest of those songs are terrible. Im from Columbus Ohio and for Bow Wow to act like he from Atlanta and not rep where you from is weak. That song isn’t going t get no airplay in the hometown.
