♫ Ciara – Don’t Remember (full) – listen
This is a very interesting song from Ciara, taken from her Fantasy Ride sessions. There are so many songs about drinks out nowadays, but this is really a different perspective. As far as I can tell, that’s Ne-Yo on the background vocals, and he’s responsible for some of the writing. I actually am really digging this song. It seems as though Fantasy Ride is shaping up to be a pretty solid project from the new material that’s been surfacing. Vocally, I like what Ciara is doing towards the end of this song too. Nice work.
♫ Bobby Valentino – Butterfly Tattoo (full) – listen
Check out this new track from Bobby Valentino’s new album, Rebirth. The track is produced by Los Da Maestro, who is largely responsible for production on The Dream’s last album, Love/Hate, as well as the hugely popular first single from J. Holiday’s “Bed.” The production on the song is solid — even the vocal arrangement, and whoever vocal produced Bobby V. on the track did an amazing job, but haven’t we heard about butterfly tattoos from Bobby Valentino already. Just wondering.
♫ Brandy – Bring It Back (full) – listen
Brandy’s new album was originally supposed to be executive produced by Bryan-Michael Cox, from previous reports. Even though Human turned out to be executive producer by Rodney Jerkins, Brandy still went into the studio with B. Cox. His productions bring out something in Brandy’s voice. The production to this song is very similar to that of “Fall,” the closing track on Human. Brandy does really well with piano-driven songs. I would have been very interested to see what else Bryan would have added to Brandy’s new project. I think they probably have some more amazing records that were outtakes from her most recent album.

Tank is one of the few male artists right now that holds his own in a lot of different rights. He’s got a great voice, he’s an excellent writer, and he’s produced a lot of great songs for other artists. At first, when I heard this, I was thinking that it was possibly a demo for Jamie Foxx (Tank was a huge part of the success of Jamie’s previous album, Unpredictable), but then I remember that Tank recently held a listening party so that listeners could sample new music from his upcoming project. “Choose,” I’ve read, was a part of those songs. It’s a pretty solid song, and what I’m used to hearing from Tank.
ciara is NOT relevant to the world at large lmao. this is one of her best songs and it still isn’t up to par. none of the songs on here are. she sounds like an amateur singer. you can have a soft voice and still kill it (i.e. sade, aaliyah).
i didn’t bother listening to the rest. i already knew they sucked. i’m rooting for brandy though
