EVENTS: PRESIDENT & FIRST LADY HONOR STEVIE WONDER

President Barack Obama presented Stevie Wonder with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song during a taping of the Stevie Wonder In Performance at the White House: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize in the East Room of the White House on Wednesday (February 25th).

The event which will air on PBS next month also brought out some singers/musicians including: Paul Simon, Will.I.Am, and Tony Bennett. Check out what President Obama had to say about Stevie:

“I think it is fair to say that, had I not been a Stevie Wonder fan, Michelle might not have dated me, we might not have married,” the President said. “The fact that we agreed on Stevie was part of the essence of our courtship.” [ READ MORE + VIDEO ]

    THe sad thing is that Stevie cant see how ridiculous his hair looks. Whoever is hooking him up should just let the fake braids go and let him be bald. They dont even get realistic braids: Stevie is old as hel and the hair is jet black. Oh well, Stevie hasnt made a good record in about 25 years any way.

    I think that Stevie and more than a few from his time is the reason why we are here today.LMAO. I just love being black in America right now. Yesterday someone replied to a posting about Obama. How we are sheep for believing in him and honoring him. Well, I don’t think that he would have instantly made so many changes. Who in the world is honoring people like Stevie, other than BET? I can’t wait to see what OBAMA does withing these next 2 years!
