President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama enter the East Room for entertainment after a black-tie dinner at the White House on Sunday in Washington, DC.
The Obamas gave their first formal White House dinner as hosts to the National Governors Association which has been holding their 2009 winter meeting discussing Obama’s stimulus program, health care, infrastructure and education.

this is what iam talking about change baby, inclusive change. but there are some nay sayers. like the govenors from mississippi, south carolina, la., tx.,ga. and etc. all them red republican states saying they won’t take the stimulus money or not all of it. all on the sunday talk shows grand standing and just being plain fakes…… OK if you want to play dirty… then democrats yiu need to stop being PASSIVE and lets get down and get down and dirty w/ these fraudulent republicans who are the party of underminers. one way of doing this is to go back in history to the cheney/bush republican playbook, if you can’t beat em then join em. and to all them govenors who are grandstanding on the sunday talk shows talking about the stimulus money your going to turn down. the so-called haley barbour’s. well “lets” revisit the “cheney/bush playbook” the obama admin should go into all them states the ones who believe the this admin is wasting the tax payers money, and look into going back and CLOSING them MILITARY INSTALLATIONS and the MILITARY BASES AND MILITARY SHIP YARDS in them states like TX, LA, SC, GA., AZ, ETC. like cheney/bush was going to do when they hi-jacked the white house for 8yrs. also while sen. mccain is trying to undermine this president shouldn’t he be worried about his state of arizona where the drug cartels have advanced from the south of the border all the way into phoenix az. someone tell these “underminers” when you dig a ditch —- dig 2 —– cause the ditch you dig for me just might be for you. now the govenor from florida has came w/ the right approach him and the gov from california. working together while the reat of the red state people. who player hate; and undermine.
yeah the necklace was overkill, the dress itself was enough but all in all NICE

The one thing I love about our FL, is that she seems to be comfortable in her own skin. She has her own style and whether or not people approve, she appears like the kind of woman that will always do her. It’s too bad so many women try to conform.
LOVE her WHOLE look. When i first saw this on tv I thought she should’ve worn this at the inauguration parties but (oh well) I love the necklace with it because its unexpected. For me her choice in accessories completed the look.
Also I agree with someone else who said not everyone needs to have a gelled back solid as a rock french roll or other such “up do” for fancy events. Some people don’t even look all that attractive with all their hair pulled up. Her hair is soft and it accentuates her features. Nuff said.

I love it! Michelle looks incredible. Glad to see that they have such a chemistry that cannot be denied. It’s a palpable love that you can see in every photo. I hope many of us get a chance to listen to Obama tonight as he speaks on his strategy for fixing the economy. I agree with # 22 some ignorant person is going to have a field day with that picture of Obama making a toast and turn it into something totally unnecessary. For all who feel that people are giving the Obamas more props than they deserve……come on people. Don’t we have a right to be excited? How long have generations of Black people been waiting to see our race lifted up in a manner that shows that we too can be something other than the lowest of the social class. Yeah there will always be people who make the Obama bigger than they are, but at the same time, we shouldn’t tear them down either. The Obamas are a very good example of how you can be a grounded family and take care of business. They have worked hard to make sure that every American can identify with them and have made it clear that this Presidency is about lifting up ALL of America.

yalll need to shut up and quit jocking michelle obama. Yeah I love them and its wonderful that we have an african american smart president. BUT SHE IS WEARING ENTIRELY TOO MUCH. Her dress is all she needed. Those pearls gotta go!! If ashanti or beyonce had all of this on,,,,you all would be screaming stuff about it!!
Michele looks absolutely stunning! As for the young ladies who criticized her choice of accessories, pls stop HATEN!
