First Lady Michelle Obama covers the latest issue of Vogue Magazine. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz at the Hay-Adams Hotel, where the Obamas stayed before the Inauguration, this is only the 2nd time a first lady has made the cover. Hilary Clinton was the first.

It’s not surprising that the ignorant, small minded individuals calling our First Lady unattractive don’t have their pictures posted. They have nothing else negative to say so they attack her looks. Michelle is a very attractive, average looking sister. She is poised, professional, beautiful – inwardly and out – accomplished, etc. What about you?

as i look back and think of some of the things that my mama pulled my coatail about. and i was hard headed and didn’t listen. fact is that i should of never under estimated the POWER of a woman. i used to think to myself, why do a woman have to go around the block just to cross the street? when a man would just cross the damn street. now i realize; now if somebody would get the number of the truck that just about ran over my azz. and when i hear them republicans like rush, billy , and hannity spreading fear. talking that smack to the people who will listen, saying; ‘iam scared’ . in my lifetime i ain’t never heard my mama or many women mouthed them two words. like my uncle used to say. if you scared—say you scared, “now get in my back pocket”.

Wow- after the J-Hud and LeBron James covers not to mention THAT Whoopi Goldberg picture i didn’t know Annie Liebovitz could take nice pictures of black people. Nice to see she shows Mrs Obama the respect she deserves.
She should not smile in pictures. When she smiles her nose points down and her MO should not smile in pictures, her nose points down and her eyebrows raise LIKE she has botox. she could have had a smart look on her face or smile with expressions… is that possible…lol idk
The clothes are a very good look, in these bad times with the economy and all she is doing is setting an example in my eyes that you can look presentable and classy for a good price. That’s if it’s true that the clothing are from JCrew.

As far as her being busy, you obviously have never been around hard-working mothers and wives if you think she is sitting around twiddling her thumbs. Her schedule is probably jam-packed with tons of personal and professional obligations. Just because the first lady doesn’t earn a paycheck doesn’t mean she is not busy. You probably also think stay at home moms don’t do shit all day but watch TV and eat bon-bons.

This classy woman is beautiful in presence and in spirit. wow, i love it. she is so beautiful on the inside–the grace and class and intelligence that she possesses that it just radiates on the outside. yes, she is beautiful. whether you like the pic or not, everything she is on the inside makes her beautiful on the outside.

What I LOVE about these pictures and cover….. Is that this is the REAL Michelle Obama.
She is a TOTAL Classic. This is the BEST picture and shoot done on her so far because this is the real Michelle. Vogue did nothing to change her only capture her natural and effortless beauty. I also attend Princeton and I met Michelle at a lecture she gave and she was exactly as you see here. Michelle is strong, confident, beautiful, intelligent and clear in her sense of purpose, but she is also a commanding presence. All the clothes are not by J. Crew but she does have on some J. Crew here which really makes a statement about Michelle, how she is not defined or limited by fashion like so many people are.
She is down to earth yet also one of the most impressive and powerful women in the World. You know Michelle did not change during the campaign and Sasha and Malia will follow in her example.

Im happy that Michelle is on the cover…it shows the respect that the fashion industry has for her. Like someone else said the cover represents her which is being a natural beauty, which is not “busted”.Since when not caking on makeup and weave make u busted, thats the f*** up standards of beauty that society continues to cram down our throats.
