♫ D. Woods – On My Side
Check out new material from former Danity Kane bandmate, D. Woods. Since being “fired” and then asked to come back to Danity Kane on the last season of MTV’s Making the Band 4, D. Woods has begun work on a solo album, which is tentatively titled Independence Day. She’s popped up at a couple of shows around the city, performing her new material, and it seems as though fans have been responding well to the songs.
D. Woods put a couple different tracks up on her MySpace page, which has been recently revamped, and I’m liking the sound that she’s going for. She’s showcasing both her vocal ability, and her talent as a writer. It is clear why she was one of the stand-outs from the group.

Im impressed with this song. Good production and lyrics. Her vocals are nice as well. Something is a bit off with the bridge. She might want to revamp it. Overall, it’s a really good song.
Im glad she declined Puff the Magic Dragon’s attempt to have her rejoin the group. She has a lot of self respect, class and digniety. That snake of a CEO was pimping those girls just like he pimps the rest of his artists. When will Dawn wake up and leave his clutches. He’s selling her candy and her and she’s buying it. This new season of MTB is basically a platform for Diddy to promote his new cd which by the sounds of things is looking like a bootleg version od Kanye’s 808s & Hearbreak.

Wow… I really wasn’t expecting to like this song as soon as I heard it was by D Woods. I actually love the beat of this song. She has a nice R&B voice that rides on the track well, but I can’t see her being a solo artist. I don’t think she has image or star quality at all. She used to be my favorite on Making the Band when she was competing but it seems like she’s a totally different person than before. She’s just an average chick whos cool to be around but who you’ve met before. If she gets good management she’ll do iight on urban radio, but that’s it.
Pretty voice. Something about the song is a little off but I am looking forward to what she is going to bring and I wish her all the best.
ELIMINATE THE WORD “HATE” IN 09 your wrong he wasn’t looking for new girls for the group he was looking for different instruments and backup singers for his tour.

I couldn’t get into the song. I do like the fact she was able to succeed after Diddy. Most would come out after a “where are they now” show premiers. I wish her much success and will check out the page.
