A representative for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed late Sunday, Feb. 8 that popular singer Chris Brown, 19, turned himself in at the Wilshire Police Station on Sunday afternoon, in connection with an alleged domestic violence felony battery report.
The singer voluntarily turned himself in to be questioned and according to TMZ, he was arrested and charged with one count felony criminal threats. His bail was set at $50,000, which he paid and was subsequently released.
Officials are still declining to identify the injured party (UPDATE: RIHANNA NAMED AS VICTIM) in the alleged assault and Brown’s court date is scheduled for March 5th.
As stated, Chris Brown and his reported girlfriend Rihanna both cancelled their scheduled Grammy appearances and performances on Sunday night.

Exactly. When a man tells me he came from an abusive home, I always worry in the back of my head. They grew up, like Chris did, seeing their mother’s beat and it was the norm for them. So when they get mad, when their adrenaline is rushing and they’re not in their right mind, they feel like hitting is ok.
