A representative for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed late Sunday, Feb. 8 that popular singer Chris Brown, 19, turned himself in at the Wilshire Police Station on Sunday afternoon, in connection with an alleged domestic violence felony battery report.
The singer voluntarily turned himself in to be questioned and according to TMZ, he was arrested and charged with one count felony criminal threats. His bail was set at $50,000, which he paid and was subsequently released.
Officials are still declining to identify the injured party (UPDATE: RIHANNA NAMED AS VICTIM) in the alleged assault and Brown’s court date is scheduled for March 5th.
As stated, Chris Brown and his reported girlfriend Rihanna both cancelled their scheduled Grammy appearances and performances on Sunday night.

First off I would like to put it frankly: “Chris Browns” career is over. I have no respect or understanding for a man, boy, (whatever you all may refer to the male species as) who hits on a female. Especially one, who is, if not half, much smaller than your size, in height and in weight. I feel Chris Brown could have walked away at any point, whatever the heated discussion may have been at the time. However, I do believe that he is disappointed in himself for handling the situation the way he did and for putting their situation above his other priorities. One major one being his career (missing the grammy’s for a chic who cant even sing, BIG NO NO!) I believe that Rihanna had some serious issues with being dumped and not wanted, and snapped. I believe she provoked the argument, which led to her assault. THAT DOES NOT JUSTIFY HIS ACTIONS. It is unfortunate that things led to the violence that occurred, but again, they are young, and were foolishly in “love.” Way too attached to each other too. BUT one has to wonder, what their camps had to do with the arrangement of things. Im curious as to why these two were even together, when its was clear they’d already ended things. THIS COULD HAVE ALL BEEN PREVENTED!!!I believe their camps, both parties representatives encouraged the two to continue seeing each other(keep up the appearance of being a happy couple) even with the knowledge that things had ended weeks before the Grammy’s.
