Pres. Barack Obama signs the economic stimulus bill on Tuesday in Denver, Colorado.
The $787 billion plan will fund infrastructure projects, renewable energy projects and health care, as well as increase unemployment benefits and provide for tax breaks.
The Obama administration has launched a new website, recovery.gov to offer full transparency and accountability that will track the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s progress along the way.

I think that the country is in good hands with President Obama.He is a good human being and a naturally charismatic leader,but he is still an imperfect man,who leaves his socks around and hangs his pants on the door and leaves newspapers laying around,but America dosen`t have to worry about Obama ever leading us in the wrong direction,because Michelle will let him know when he`s not acting right.

If the plan doesn’t work what were people doing when Bush created this trillion dollar deficit? Dont’ blame Pres. Obama for this economic disease place blame where blame is due. Heck he’s only trying to repair the damage. He’s not a miracle worker, seek God for that!
We’ll see how this plays out…but no matter what the govmt. does, we are going to be hurting for a long time. Japan when through something similar in the late 80′s and for all of the 90′s had a weak economy…

College educated, started my own business, and am now pursuing a law degree. Far from stupid. In my post I said Socialism here we come. We are far from it now but for how long. You can’t depend on government to do everything for your dumb selves. Private industry creates more jobs then Government ever can. Obama seems like a great guy but get off the fact that just because he is black and liberal all will be good. When people stop asking for a hand out things will start to be much better.

please everyone, urge our New president to REDUCE US debt, and begin doing so immediately, NOT increase US Debt.
This country has cracks in its foundation. Those cracks are due to a destabilizing economy. With increasing debt, those cracks will turn into holes, big enough for even our esteemed nation.
PLEASE with all you can and have… URGE Pres. Obama to PAY DOWN our debt. Only then can we begin to rebuild a better union.
Sure, some people will lose jobs… Some people will have to eat less to preserve what little money they have. Many will have to get a lower paying job versus the high paying one they had at first. Generally, we’ll have to learn how to SHARE more. There’s less money coming from big corporations in the form of philanthropic gifts and jobs, so the money for living will have to come from the community…. those of us who are fortunate enough to have some income during these hard times.
So take it as it is… but meanwhile, let’s not ADD to the increasing burden of risk at which we are placing ourselves. Or this country will fail. The consequences may be irreversible.
Obama is sending troops to afghanistan which is where we should have been in the first place. Terrorism is a real threat I’m glad he has enough sense to send troops where they need to be. Frankly I have4 no idea how we got to Iraq
Some people have Obama twisted he’s not liberal. He doesn’t believe in same-sex marriage and he does believe that a lot of the problems we face can be accredited to our on wrongdoing.
As far as being a socialist or communist that’s BS at it’s best. He won because of demorcracy. He always says “The American people voted me President…”
I guess perception is reality and if you don’t open your eyes to truly see what’s going on you will miss out.
