Was there coverage on how Obama had to apologize for many members of his staff having to bow out due to tax trouble? Was there coverage on how he acknowledged that it will take years to “repair” this economy (in other words, he can’t)? I don’t remember seeing any posts about those issues. Please forgive me and point me to them if I am incorrect. Who gives a sh*t that he was at a dance theatre? These major corporations, which control all the minor corporations are going belly up at a phenomenal rate. You black people better wake up and understand that this man was put into power to be the face on the fall of a sinking ship, that being America. All that “my president is black” nonsense doesn’t amount to anything. He’s there to make sure that black people continue to invest their time, interest, and money in America and give the elite enough time to pack up and head out of dodge before all hell really breaks loose.

As a 40 something, I can say without hesitation that this Black run blog on the net. Well written with timely and interesting posts, I always enjoy not only reading the posts but the comments too.

Having said that, I think Judah makes some rather compelling points from time to time albiet without out much tact occasionally. However I think his point about Obama is well taken. Obama doesn’t have the power to all alone, change the mess George Bush left and certainly not in four years. So if you’re waiting for Obama to get you that job, you may want to consider going back to school for retraining first.

Finally as a Black republican and activist in the BLACK healthcare community, I take issue with the comments by #35 in regards to Micheal Steele, as they are extremely ignorant. While I’m no fan of Mr. Steele, I can certainly respect him as a well educated, accomplished Black man who is now in a leadership position. Bipartisianship should NOT be cause for not supporting your “own” IF your intention is NOT to emulate a “crab in a bucket” type negro. Otherwise, someone please pass the Oldbay!

Going to see Ailey when they come to LA on March 18th. If you have never seen them you REALLY need to, especially during a recession because you can get cheap(er) tickets and the company could really use all the support they can get.

Very interesting video. I’ve always asked myself why the government is mandating the digital TV transmission. On the DTV website they actually state that the transition will free up “parts of the scarce and valuable broadcast spectrum”. They go on to say that the freed up space will be used for other “important services” such as “advanced wireless” services and other private and public safety services. On the video in your link the narrator said the RFID chip will use “radio frequences” to track our every move. Do you think that the transistion is related to the RFID chip in terms of the analog airwaves of older TV sets taking up airwaves that can now be used for this RFID chip?
