Jen is just soulful. There is nothing fake abiout her. As multitalented as she may be she is not consumed into herself. She is just “J Hud”. Her voice cannot even match some of the older singers she is a powerhouse. Lungs are filled with melody. Just beutiful… I was literally in tears with her performance. Please just check out her you tube old performances. This sister along with Fantasia always been “blowing the house down”… Its a shame what a sad world we live when other singers gety the big endorsements and better paycheck because they are judged because they are thinner and lighter…they can booty shake … get consumed into Louis V’s and Gucci and only have a “nice” voice…This women can blow hands down! We love ya J Hud God will continue to Bless you that why you have won an Oscar and got good roles as in “Sex and the City” …

Those of you who are not in the industry do not understand. Live performances are great performance are GREAT performances the greatest artist in the industry will NEVER lip-sync.
I feel for her loss and wish her the best, but on Broadway the critics don’t give us passes, this is the real world.
I agree with those who say keep Fantasia out of this, she has more than proved herself as a singer what she did on Broadway has been critically acclaimed and everybody who sings cannot and willnot do what she did on that stage night after night with no props and for the most part no support from you.
Let’s keep this thing real.

As it has been stated for the umpteenth time in this thread, mostly EVERYONE lip synches the National Anthem. We all know Jennifer can sing. We all know she can sing live. If your boss/director insisted you do something because it’s industry standard, you would do it right? So don’t get mad because Jennifer followed tradition. MAN!!! jennifer did her thing! she didn’t do too many extras or leave you wanting more. i honestly think that she did better than whitney’s and beyonce’s version. *realizing that i have just invited the stans* i am so glad that she was able sing considering her tragic losses that was only three months ago.

I must agree with you, I said this on another board. Spotlight was nice, but other than that her singles nor album have done anything spectacular on the charts. If this does occur the industry to me will be a big joke from now on.
Now Jen can promote her album its obvious why she has not had time to do so and its obvious that shes going to run 09 with both music and movies I smell Grammys and more Oscars. Wow what a talent, I can hear her voice even when shes not singing its so very touching.
