Grammy nominated singer Fantasia Barrino is ready to go back to school and earn her high school degree, after dropping out about a decade ago in the ninth grade.
“I’ve been talking about it for so long. I have a lot of young people who look up to me, like my 15-year-old brother and 7-year-old daughter. It’s something that I really need to do and that I want to do.”
Fantasia said that she realized the need to be educated after she faced the possibility of one of her homes being foreclosed and put up for auction.
“I had to sit back for a while and had to get some things settled..I had to handle my own business as this was not just about me but my whole family.”
Fantasia is hoping to release her third album later this year and is also in talks to star in a reality show about her own life.
Kanye West spoke to Ryan Seacrest Tuesday morning (February 10) during a radio interview and expressed his devastation about the Rihanna and Chris Brown incident:
“She has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time and, in that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do any and everything to help her in any situation. I don’t want to speak more into the specifics with that situation, but all I’ll say is it’s just so devastating.
I feel like, just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald’s, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.”
Kanye and Rihanna got close during the course of his sold-out ‘Glow and The Dark’ tour last year.
Premiering on Tuesday, February 17th at 9pm ET/PT on MTV, Snoop Dogg will host “Dogg After Dark,” a new jam packed weekly variety talk show from Los Angeles hotspot Kress on Hollywood Boulevard.
“Dogg After Dark” will bring raw interviews with A-list celebrities and musicians, sketch-comedy segments and musical performances from the top artists. The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks and feature Snoop’s own in-house band, the “Snoopadelics.”
“Snoop has been a mainstay across MTV screens for over a decade by pushing the boundaries of hip-hop with his signature antics, incredible catalogue of music, legendary videos, larger than life personality and even a little controversy,” said Van Toffler..

What we fail to realize is that… COUPLES FIGHT! I mean me and my dude have thrown some blows @ each other where I swung first and he reacted out of reflex. Even though I’m not saying it’s okay to hit a female, we shouldn’t be so hard on either of the two because we don’t know everything that happened. We weren’t with them in the car that night, & we definitely weren’t apart of the relationship (no matter how hard the media tried to be). And I think it’s best for drama’s sake that other celebrities do not choose sides- despite how tempting it is. This way, valuable friendships aren’t lost and everyone remains on – @ least – “ok” terms.

I agree that we don’t know the truth about what happend that night and the events leading up to it and therefore shouldn’t be so quick to jump to conclusions to confirm our feelings about either Rihanna or Chris. This is a very unfortunate and sad situation at best.
I hope that Hollywood and everyone else refrains from picking sides until we get a better understanding. Either way my prayers are with both Chris and Rihanna. I hope that they will be able to deal with this situation in a healthy manner and move forward with their lives.
Also I am very proud of Fantasia and going back to school. Education is important, and will take you anywhere you want to ge in life. School is Cool! (lol…corny i know)

This thing is in the legal system now, so we’re going to see some facts soon enough. This evening I was driving home from work and a radio station started playing a Chris Brown song…then the host stops it about 20 seconds in and says he doesn’t want to play that song, goes on to say all the evidence points toward Chris as beating Rihanna and we should not be listening to his music until we hear different…SMDH… Looks like the boy has been tried and convicted by the public court already.
