Grammy nominated singer Fantasia Barrino is ready to go back to school and earn her high school degree, after dropping out about a decade ago in the ninth grade.
“I’ve been talking about it for so long. I have a lot of young people who look up to me, like my 15-year-old brother and 7-year-old daughter. It’s something that I really need to do and that I want to do.”
Fantasia said that she realized the need to be educated after she faced the possibility of one of her homes being foreclosed and put up for auction.
“I had to sit back for a while and had to get some things settled..I had to handle my own business as this was not just about me but my whole family.”
Fantasia is hoping to release her third album later this year and is also in talks to star in a reality show about her own life.
Kanye West spoke to Ryan Seacrest Tuesday morning (February 10) during a radio interview and expressed his devastation about the Rihanna and Chris Brown incident:
“She has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time and, in that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do any and everything to help her in any situation. I don’t want to speak more into the specifics with that situation, but all I’ll say is it’s just so devastating.
I feel like, just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald’s, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.”
Kanye and Rihanna got close during the course of his sold-out ‘Glow and The Dark’ tour last year.
Premiering on Tuesday, February 17th at 9pm ET/PT on MTV, Snoop Dogg will host “Dogg After Dark,” a new jam packed weekly variety talk show from Los Angeles hotspot Kress on Hollywood Boulevard.
“Dogg After Dark” will bring raw interviews with A-list celebrities and musicians, sketch-comedy segments and musical performances from the top artists. The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks and feature Snoop’s own in-house band, the “Snoopadelics.”
“Snoop has been a mainstay across MTV screens for over a decade by pushing the boundaries of hip-hop with his signature antics, incredible catalogue of music, legendary videos, larger than life personality and even a little controversy,” said Van Toffler..

When Kanye said he felt Rhi could be the greatest he meant her ability to crossover,sell cds and appeal to every racial group around the world,so from that standpoint he`s correct,Her music is bought by everybody! not just blacks,whites and latinos, but her music sales around the world are off the chain! To #71…I totally agree with you.I think Chris was the controlling one and Rihanna had to constantly be all over him to shut him up. I can bet this was not the first time it has happened either. You are so right, when men beat on their women, nine times out of ten it’s to have control over them and use it as a way to make them stay. Maybe that’s why she was always all over him and if pictures are worth a thousand words you can see that he always looked ticked off about something, like he was never satisfied with anything she did. Maybe he’s the one who couldn’t handle the relationship and she always had to give in, just my opinion. Don’t let a fine face fool you..sometimes those are the worst ones! Jscene, while I LOVE Kanye and respect everything that he does, by no means would I even call Rihanna an artist! An artist is someone who creates something. If you knew the workings behind Rihanna you would know that everything that she is right now has been created for her by her team. Her look, her sound, the songs that she sings, etc… It was all created for her by her team. So I wouldn’t call her an artist, but I would call her a piece of art. And I should know my brother is a part of her camp…
Kanye clearly knows more than any of us or the media about the situation. He probably has Rihanna on freaking speed dial. Just cuz us mere mortals don’t know what’s poppin off on celebrity Olympus doesn’t mean that the other “Gods” don’t congregate amongst themselves. I have no doubt Riri has probably confided in him in some fashion or another and he has deeper insight into the whole situation than any of us.
Kanye is who she should have been with, instead. I felt remorse fo Chris after hearing an interview that his step father used to beat his mom and when he was 7, he wanted to get bigger so he cld kill the man. You can hear the little boy in him that was terrified, hurt, and angry about hearing this man jump on his mom and hear her screams. I think that wld affect alot of people in ways you don’t realize until it comes out later. That’s why we can not allow these men to come off the street and into our homes and bring these curses into our childrens lives.
