I love her hair, her style, her–I just love her!

I feel like she looks the same in every picture i’ve seen of her. she cute tho.

She is so whatever to me. I listen to different music (J*Davey, Muhsinah, Kissey Asplund) but Ms. Monae doesn’t do it for me. To say that she is the female Andre 3000, like I’ve heard previously, is absurd. I do like her hair tho’…lol

@ 21. Actually I haven’t even met Janelle yet. Only talked to her on the phone twice. I love her music and always vibe’d her sound. See what happens when you make assumptions? Glad you’re a fan of the site though.

I know #21 feels dumb now. People always complaining about how CL posts Beyonce and Rihanna all the time but when they post different people somebody come out the wordwork and run their mouth.

I just don’t understand why she signed with Badboy! Biggest mistake ever, she could be huge if given the right promotion. And she does look a lot like a young Anita Baker, just wish she’d switch up her style a little more- the hair style is played out now. Still love Janelle though

I’ve never heard of Janelle Monae besides on this site. I’m not saying the site shouldn’t post about people they find interesting, but I would not call Janelle Monae “relevant” in the world of other celebrities. Yeah, g lister is fitting.

I mean she’s a cute girl and she sings pretty alright, but so do some of the people in the subway who sing for change, and they are not on this site, and you know why? Because they aren’t celebrities either.

I totally agree Janelle hardly gets any love. It just shows how much our society goes for the “looks’ over substance. Because I seriously doubt that any of the current “IT Chicks” could go from singing songs like “Peachtree Blues or Cindy” to “Mr. President or Metropolis” without skipping a beat!

Such a creative force, true talent and artist, one of the best things that dropped in 2008 was Metropolis..hope she wins cause off the EP alone she deserves it, altho the grammy’s some BS…..and to the rest with those negative comments, all I’ll say is everything isn’t for everybody!!!!!

If you havent heard of Janelle Monae you should definitley listen to her song titled “Its not fair” I saw her perform a couple months back she sings so beautifuly, but people sleep on her because her musics not mainstream and she’s not a sex symbol.
