Jennifer Hudson made an appearance on a live taping of “Oprah” on Friday. In the interview above, the singer said that she’s happy to be back in the game, and that singing at huge events such as the Super Bowl is “like therapy” for her.
“[I'm] in a very good place,” the Oscar and Grammy-winner, 27, told Winfrey. “I’m just glad to be back to work.” Watch her perform her favorite song If This Isn’t Love after the interview.
THE GAME GETTING THE BOOT?
Word is, The CW series “The Game” may not be renewed for next season. The CW announced this week early pickup for six of their shows, which included “America’s Next Top Model” – however, the Friday night half hour Game was not mentioned.
The same rumor came across last year for the show as well – so, this could just be a case of dejavu. I certainly hope The CW does not cancel the show because the story lines have gotten interesting thus far!
MOS DEF ON HOUSE
Rapper Mos Def is set to make an appearance on Fox’s medical series “House” next month. Check out the synopsis of the episode set to air March 23rd:
In a special episode of ‘House’, shot and told predominantly from the perspective of a patient, Lee (guest star Mos Def), a man who awakens in New York after a bicycle accident unable to move or communicate in any way. House, himself injured in a motorcycle mishap, occupies the hospital bed next to Lee and quickly annoys the doctors treating them both by insisting that Lee has ΄locked-in‘ syndrome.
After House gets Lee transferred to Princeton Plainsboro, the team is on the case to try to ΄unlock‘ him. Meanwhile, Wilson suspects House is hiding something when he refuses to divulge why he was in New York. Source

i’d be so hurt if the cw cancelled “the game”; if they keep it on one night and stop throwing in reruns every 3 weeks, ratings will stay up….what they can cancel quickly is all these seasons of top model when the winners (in majority cases) fall off and hardly ever does anything again…i know that show’s ratings have dropped…or they can drop the whole “melrose place” remake…

I disagree, I think “The Game” does need to be cut. This season has been a little wack, Wendy Raquel Robinson makes the show anyway, Melanie is annoying and unrealistic. Pooch Hall also needs an acting coach.
They need to create another African American drama that can last aslong as Girlfriends did.

Nooooooo! I LOVE The Game!! However this season HAS been lacking….they have dragged on the Melanie/Derwin/baby mama drama issue for TOO long, and have spent too much time on Jason & Kelly. Last season I was GLUED to that show every week, because u never knew what was gonna happen. They need to move the story lines a lot more quickly, and not have freakin re-runs every other week! Stacy Dash is joing the show AND I want to find out if Derwin is the father of Janay’s baby (which I don’t think he is), and I want to see Melanie & Derwin and Jason & Kelly get back together!!! This is the best black show we have on tv that portrays REAL issues that we face in relationships!

Great to see the Jen interview, she’s coped soo well and is such a positive person. Frankly I don’t care if her and Bey are friends or not, the fact is Bey should have sent her condolences during Jen’s time of need. Jen has an Oscar and a Grammy and may even get a Tony award sometime so she is doing extremely well for herself.
I love the fact that unlike 99% of artists nowadays she’s not re-releasing her album to capitalise on its success, instead she’s taken the clever root of going on tour and releasing singles to promote the tour.
I not only love Jhud’s music but I respect her as a person because unlike others Jen is not fake and is strong-willed, she got to where she is today without being spoonfed all the way to the top. I wish her all the success in the world!

I was never a fan of “The Game,” it never interest me. Most of the CW’s shows are low budget, and it seems like, when it comes to the black sitcoms, they recycle the same black “actors”, (and I use the term loosely cause they can’t act worth a damn) with some corny storyline.
Sometimes, I wish a big network like NBC or ABC, could do a black sitcom of substance, with real talented, unknown, black actors. Im just sick of having to watch mediocre bullshyt, just cause its a “black” show. Smh
I could never get into The Game, TBH. I mean aside from Tia in it and that fineass Derwin I won’t lose sleep over it. Girlfriends was the one they screwed over.

The writer claims that in 2001, she had interviewed for a job as a writers assistant at Kelsey Grammer’s Gramnet Prods. when she gave a manuscript of her novel “Interceptions” to “Game” executive producer Mara Brock Akil.
Both the written and filmed versions center on a woman who is devoted to an NFL player, but wants to pursue her professional schooling.
