I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.” [source]
As reported, Chris was charged with one count felony criminal threats (more charges could be added after the DA is finished reviewing the case) and is expected to attend court on March 5th in Los Angeles. The 19 year-old has hired popular defense attorney, Mark Geragos to represent him.

I don’t consider myself a fan of Rihanna but I sure have enjoyed ever single she has released. I love how she changed her whole style. And I didn’t know she could really sing until I heard her on the BET awards last yr. I could not get enough of Disturbia this summer and I love her single that talks about ‘Checking Into Rehab’.

So many posts to read on this incident. So Chris watched his step dad beat his mom? I am not making any excuses for his behavior. It just shows how your upbringing can jack you up. Is this the first physical altercation they had? If it isn’t then Rihanna needs counseling too.

Though things seem to point Chris being guilty of beating up Ri Ri up, I’ll say IF he beat Rihanna up… I think most of you who say ‘Chris is allowed to make a mistake’ or ‘oh but he’s young’ or that ‘Ri Ri must have provoked him’ wouldn’t be singing that same song if YOU were his all bruised up punching bag instead of RiRi.
He’s not 2 years old and I doubt he’s brain damaged. So unless he’s been living like a guy under a rock, I’m sure he knows right from wrong or at least can figure it out by now just like the scores of other young people who CHOOSE to do the right thing instead. Chris shouldn’t get a pass.

i agree and perhaps i didn’t represent myself well but i don’t think he is a victim and i did say he should have NEVER put his hands on any woman…no man should unless the woman is coming at them with a deadly weapon and he needs to then defend himself …like i said before if the situation is what it has been construed as, there is no excuse. along with the “millions” of people who do it all the time (juggling their family, relationships etc), there are also another million who make mistakes, we don’t live in a perfect society and we never will live in one, so there are always going to be situation like this occuring (in medias eyes and in our own homes). if i was in rihannnas shoes of course i would be angry but im the type of person to forgive because if i don’t forgive someone else for their sin how is god going to forgive me for anything i may have done – but i wouldn’t of course go back to him or anything. im not saying reward him or anything but i am a fan of his work, im sure in our everyday lives there are some people in which we do not like personally or agree with their actions but they do have productions we may support. & YES, he isn’t brain dead and he will suffer the consequences of his actions.
