Chris Brown is still in Los Angeles awaiting his upcoming court date and police are now telling media sources that additional charges may be filed against him when the case is presented to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
The 19-year-old has also canceled his scheduled appearances during All-Star Weekend.
He had been tapped to introduce the players with Shaquille O’Neal before tip-off at Phoenix’s US Airways Center.
The basketball fan had also been planning to play Friday in the annual All-Star Celebrity Game, part of the weekend-long festivities.
As reported, Chris was charged with one count felony criminal threats against Rihanna on Sunday and is expected to attend court on March 5th. Chris has hired popular defense attorney, Mark Geragos to represent him.
T.I. SPOKE TO CHRIS ON MONDAY
In an interview with Carson Daly, T.I. said he spoke to Chris Brown on Monday.
T.I. maintained that he is unaware of what exactly happened during the Sunday incident, however, T.I. said people should refrain from judging Brown:
“Yeah, I spoke to him today. He cool, you know. I guess he a little concerned about the situation, but he’s still the same Chris. I told him this too shall pass.
Hey man, you people gotta remember, we celebrities and we entertainers but we still human. All of us…Don’t expect us not to make mistakes ‘cause we will.”
T.I., who has his own set of legal woes, is going to be doing a year in prison for pleading guilty to US federal weapons charges. He expected to go into custody next month.
Rihanna’s Grandmother reportedly told a Barbados newspaper that her granddaughter is well and does not have a broken nose and other major injuries like previously reported on other no name blogs:
“I don’t want people to worry. Rihanna is fine and she is doing well,” she said.
Rihanna also postponed a concert in Malaysia that was set for Friday night, according to the show’s promoter.
“In light of recent events involving Rihanna, the artist management will confirm within two weeks from now on a replacement date to be mutually agreed by Pineapple Concerts and the artist,” the company said.
The promoter stressed that it was “not a cancellation but a postponement” and told those who bought tickets to hold on to them for a rescheduled date.
Rihanna was planning on celebrating her 21st birthday on Feb. 20 with a big party in New York City. However, her music label has, understandably, canceled it, which it had been putting together for about a month.

[Later the next day, Chris] wanted to go get his things from her apt to go to a hotel and saw a million cop cars there.
So he left and when he sent us to retrieve his stuff, this girl didn’t want to let us get his 6 bags of stuff. She said tell him to come get it himself … Tell him to answer his phone and that I’m sorry we can work this out. To which I said, hell no my friend isn’t coming anywhere near here. It’s too late for all of that. He just wants his luggage and you guys need never to see each other anymore….

And ALL stories have multiple sides…so until the actual truth is spoken no one except the involved parties really know what happened and the tension that led up to it. But if they were having problems that would allow them to fight in the public, then instead of worrying about public opinion and trying to maintain a happy facade and persona they should have called this relationship off a long time ago before it even got to this point. This is wild but I am sooo not judging Chris differently. As a journalist and human being, I have learned to stay neutral. I can’t imagine this young man just spazzing out and going Ike on Rihanna for no reason. Who knows? He could have bruises and scratches too… Whatever provoked him or made them get to that point may always be a mystery. I still enjoy his music and artistry. Rihanna will live and I’m sure the investigation will lead to surprising details about her as well.

FIRST – I always said it would be 2 losers and no winners. Both of them already are set to lose millions. If anyone knows anything about contract law – when rihanna cancelled concert dates – she was in breach. so i hope she has money to cover the costs b/c it will be costly!!!
SECOND – Rihanna went to barbados and will most likely not return to the US when Chris is scheduled to appear in court. California cannot subpoena Rihanna to appear from another country – It’s called Long Arm Jurisdiction – & california’s doesnt stretch that far.
THIRD – CB did not assault Rihanna when they got out of the car. Chris new girlfrend Keysha Chante fought rihanna – hence the scratches & bite marks.
FOURTH – the charges against him will be dropped. ya’ll just watch. the DA is going to file several charges b/c it’s a high profiled case when he knows for sure he will not win. Examples of overzealous DA’s – the one that handled the Kobe alleged rape case and the NC DA from the Duke rape case. All smoke and no fire.
