The Los Angeles Police Department has launched an internal investigation and filed a personnel complaint after a photo leaked late Thursday of what appears to be a bruised Rihanna following the alleged incident with Chris Brown on Grammy weekend.
“The unauthorized release of a domestic-violence photograph immediately generated an internal investigation,” an LAPD spokesman said in statement about the photo, which appeared on TMZ. “The Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section began receiving numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown.
The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” the LAPD asserted in the statement. “A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”
I don’t know why they put that girl’s photo up, so eager to get it also. TMZ, you are so filthy, and they’re are wrong for that.
I mean Chris really did some damage to her.

The DAILY NEWS PAPER (dated on 2/20/09) featuring the TMZ photo of RIHANNA stated:
“The LAPD does not and will not release any victims photos.Its that simple. We have not,”
So where this photo came from. WHO KNOWS? But one thing is for sure, it wasn’t from the LAPDs collection of photos. So this PHOTO is “suspect”. And when you look at the photo itself and the bruises, & the two knots on her forehead, I just don’t see the face of a BATTERED WOMAN, & I have seen it in the past. RIHANNA looks like she was in a fight with her partner nonetheless, but she was in a fight.
THE MEDIA made it sound like the girl looked as if she just went 6 rounds with MIKE TYSON in the boxing ring. She does NOT have 2 BLACK EYES, the eyes are NOT swollen shut or anything, she does NOT have a SPLIT lip or any open wounds or what have you. & Where is the FAMOUS “BITE MARKS”? Plus the girl simply isn’t wearing any “make up” in the photo (no false eyelashes, no mascara, no under eye concealer, no lipstick, no blush, or eyeshadow, her eyebrows are practically missing in the photo because they aren’t even penciled in “like usual”—YES she looks a mess. THE FACE OF A BATTERED WOMAN?
c’mon MEDIA…call up any POLICE STATION & ask to see DOMESTIC ABUSE PHOTOS of women who are “BATTERED & BEATEN”, & you will see the difference. Its not right for ANYONE to hit ANY OTHER PERSON—PERIOD. Society has it where in the majority of the ABUSE CASES the MAN is the suspect, while the woman seems to always be the victim. In ALOT of cases the woman is the victim of the mans “ISSUES & PROBLEMS” & becomes a punching bag for the man—WRONG 100%!
But then you have your “FEMALES” that seem to think its “okay” to hit & beat on a man because she is jealous over something, or insecure about something, or just plain UPSET about something he may have done & she just wasn’t cool with it! & decides to throw something at him or punch on him, or slap the shit out of him WRONG 100% (just as wrong as the man beating his woman because he has his own “inner-issues” just like this type of female)…because when is ENOUGH -ENOUGH for “that” man? (the same man thats “usually” so calm, & content & understanding of his woman), How many times does he have to try & walk away only to have her running up behind him or after him still hitting on him, pulling at his clothes, & arguing with him? How much can he take before “HE” snaps & goes “APE” on your asses?
I have seen this alot in the streets with couples. And the man gets the bad end of the stick every single time. The LAW needs to change to some extent, because ALOT of women get away with DOMESTIC abuse towards their partners, while the MAN usually gets hauled off in the handcuffs–no questions asked, & no room for explanations & SOMETIMES…its NOT FAIR! That ABUSIVE WOMAN should get the same exact treatment as the MAN when it comes down to Domestic abuse & violence.
Thats my opinion & I stand strong by it. Say what you want about it. My mind wont change. Whats fair is fair. & Women getting away with BEATING on men & hitting them when they feel like it (because they THINK they can) its WRONG TOO! They need to be punished more often by law until they too can learn to keep their hands off of these MEN! these same women are quick to cry ABUSE when the man finally hits them back. CRAZY WORLD MAN! CRAZY!
IKE & TINA TURNER (ever see that movie)? THAT is DOMESTIC ABUSE/VIOLENCE!
TINA still went on & did those shows (IKE made her do them though) She had to plaster that make up on her face & keep it moving. Right after she had a baby he made her go onstage & perform one time too. Took her right out f that hospital & she had did that show! or else she would have gotten BEAT- ABUSE! She had to sing the songs the way he wanted her too or she gets BEAT…ABUSE! If she uttered a word back at him, after his orders…ABUSE! TINA TURNER was a BATTERED WOMAN! a celebrity! But her story was told in a BIOGRAPHY. It wasn’t EXPLOITED by the MEDIA like this case.
HALLE BERRY! Stated in an interview that she was PHYSICALLY ABUSED also by 2 men that she has dated. She is partically DEAF today out of one ear due to DOMESTIC VIOLENCE from her past. She was a BATTERED WOMAN a celebrity! Halle chose to tell her story on her own, in a public interview. The MEDIA didn’t EXPLOIT it all over the place like this case.
OPRAH WINFREY was SEXUALLY abused as a teenager. She revealed this during one of her shows in the early years of her talk show career…The MEDIA didn’t blow it out of control like this story.
& it has happened to PLENTY more of CELEBRITIES (not saying its right or wrong) they are HUMAN & these things happen in life. CELEBS are not PERFECT, they are just like everyday, regular people who go to school or work 9 to 5 jobs. GIVE THEM A BREAK!
Why are we so quick to throw away people who made a mistake?
Geez, point to one person in your life, in your family, or yourself, who has not made a mistake or done something they regret? Do you think they should not have any good in their lives, or follow their dreams because of it? Is that what you would want for yourself or those you love?
I don’t understand the mindset of some human beings. We all need forgiveness at some point, but seem so determined to not give it to others. Forgiving someone does not mean they don’t pay for their mistakes, it means the punishment fits the crime and that we all show some humanity towards each other — we all need that. Maybe when the anger and punishment has passed we’ll remember that you don’t throw people away.
I’m really getting a kick out of everyone acting like Chris Brown should be redeemed “at some point”. As long as I’ve been alive domestic violence hasn’t been taken lightly in ANY community (in the U.S.) All men who beat up on women get a bad rap, so I’m not understanding why Chris Brown would be some exception. Of course there will still be people who buy his music, to think otherwise is just unrealistic. But I’m pretty sure he’ll always be a “woman beater” in everyone’s mind. Some stuff you just can’t “redeem” yourself from. What he did was totally unacceptable. Regardless of “reason.”
I believe no matter how old a supposed man is he should never hit a woman. Especialy if he LOVE her. I was a victom of domestic violence when I was 18 and I had to let him go. It wasn’t easy but I charished my life too much for him to abuse me like that. Rihanna you can do better. Take Care of YOURSELF!!!!!!
