After almost two weeks of hiding from the public, Rihanna was spotted in Los Angeles heading to an airport on Thursday – the same day a photo of her with bruises on her face released to the public.
The singer finally released a statement to fans on Friday (her 21st birthday) via her spokesperson:
At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown. She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.

Now, back to the drama. Look at the Grammy pictures starting with the red carpet photos. Also look back on a lot of Chris’ pictures. He looks crazy, especially his profile when he’s not smiling. Chris looked like he was on “something” and was plotting against Rihanna. Look closely at the pictures. Something in his eyes were sinister. Meanwhile, Pop Princess Rihanna was all giddy, happy in love with his presence, she was blindsided, because she was trying to make it appear all was lovey-dovey.
She probably wanted to stay together at least through her birthday and then let the shish hit the fan after the fact. Emotionally, they were disconnected on Feb. 8th. and their dirty laundry is now on public display.
But Rihanna will survive. She’s accomplished so much more than the naysayers thought she ever would. She has made history and shamed her peers, so now she has to “remain strong” in mind.
