Now, back to the drama. Look at the Grammy pictures starting with the red carpet photos. Also look back on a lot of Chris’ pictures. He looks crazy, especially his profile when he’s not smiling. Chris looked like he was on “something” and was plotting against Rihanna. Look closely at the pictures. Something in his eyes were sinister. Meanwhile, Pop Princess Rihanna was all giddy, happy in love with his presence, she was blindsided, because she was trying to make it appear all was lovey-dovey.

She probably wanted to stay together at least through her birthday and then let the shish hit the fan after the fact. Emotionally, they were disconnected on Feb. 8th. and their dirty laundry is now on public display.

But Rihanna will survive. She’s accomplished so much more than the naysayers thought she ever would. She has made history and shamed her peers, so now she has to “remain strong” in mind.

Apparently there has been an abusive year for them both; both mentally and physically. No man just straight whoops a woman’s ass with no warning. He had to have put his hands on her throughout the year before it lead to this. This time, there is just proof and her bruises are visible for the world to see.

I like what you said and pretty much agree. He should never have hit her and if she hit him or said something to provoke him, he should have walked away. Some females do know how to press buttons though. WE do know this part of the story though, they were in a car in some unknown neighborhood. I swear, African-Americans are the most ignorant group when it comes to violence. Perhaps it is because we were victims of such awful brutality as a way of life and passed down this acceptance from generation to generation.

Reading comments on blogs since this story broke has been one of the most depressing experiences of my life. I have always known black people, especially black women place very little value on things like health, safety and security. But to see so many young girls with the same issues their mothers clearly had is truly heartbreaking.

As log as black women continue to make excuses, blame victims and sell their womanhood for black male acceptance we will continue to suffer needlessly.

I hope most of you young ladies realize that Chris Brown and most other black men like him will never be coming to your rescue. They are not going to defend you, protect you, marry you, raise your children, etc. They will use you for whatever they can whether it be sex, emotional support, your money, etc and never give anything in return.

It’s sad that Rihanna, who probably was learning this due to all of her exposure to the predatory men of color in the music business, and now sees that the majority of support for her is occurring outside the black community.

111, I think the real issue here is violence starts at a young age for many abusers. 19 years old does not mean that this is an isolated incident. Someone with his background, witnessing repaeated abuse at his own admission, it obviously affected him. My guess is that he has a lot of pent up anger seeing his mother beaten up many times, he probably felt helpless that he could not beat up the man who administered the beatings to his mom. That is probably why he uses force and anger against females like rihanna, when he gets angry he can’t control it it all spills out. That is what happens also when he has an uderlying anger at his own mom for putting him in a situation where he had to witness her being abused. Its a complicated psycological issue, but it is real. He needs help. Whether he is 19 or 49 abuse is still abuse. Nothing negates the fact that he beat Rihanna down and must pay for that crime. Period.

This is really very sad for both Rihanna and Chris. With that said, it is because of posters like you that chris’s case may be thrown out, for the simple fact that the picture was released, he is already guilty before his day in court, I do not, and i repeat I DO NOT condone in any shape or form the act of domestic violence against MEN OR WOMEN but too often women are given a free pass b/c they are female. I do not know what rock some of you guys have lived under but in this day and age situations like this occur everyday and NO ONE PERSON IS RESPONSIBLE B/C IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO. Here’s the real story as relayed to me from a friend on the inside.

The D.A. threw the case back because of Rhianna’s statement. - Not complaint! The injuries incurred during their spat, was the result of Chris Slamming on the breaks, thus causing one of the bruises on Rhianna’s forehead. The busted lip and other bruises was caused by three elbows to her face by Chris, due to him warding off Rhianna’s repeated attempts to grab Chris’s cell phone. There was no “CHOKING” or deliberate punching after the car came to a halt.

According to what I heard, Rhianna will not press charges because she realizes that she has just as much culpability in this as Chris does. Both parties are pretty embarrassed that this whole fiasco has been blown out of proportion.

According to what i’ve heard, Chris will probably be charged with a misdemeanor aggravated assault, and put on probation (maybe). Trust me, both parties just want the whole thing to go away.

Whatever she did to him, nothing could have warranted him to physically attack her. What it boils down to is self control and if he is adult to commit adult crimes, then he should be adult to know self control and when to just walk away. Would it really have been that hard just to cool off and let it be? He will wear this on his shoulders forever and I honestly cant see him coming back from this, especially now since the situation has become that much more valid, given the recent leak of the photo.

Well that day my father pushed her she fell into something i don’t remember and she got a bruise on her head she called the cops the cops took my father away and believed every lie my mother spewed finally they released my father after forcing him to pay a fine. Since then i always vowed to never put my hands on anyone especially my spouse b/c just like a man has no right to hit me i have no right to hit him b/c it is human nature that the reaction will not be the one we want if we choose to physically attack or use any type of force on our partners. I kno first hand that there are alway 3sides to a domestic dispute and fight and working at shelter have only open my eyes to that fact even more.

My ultimate goal is only to be a clinical psychologist and work closely with domestic issues hence the reasons why I do so much community service in shelters and mentor abused teens. We have open discussions about this case in my classes and even in my shelter meetings. I work with men and woman who have been victims and I have visited many in the hospital. I find it quite amusing how those who say we should wait until March 5th before we judge cos no ones knows what happened are themselves coming with theories about what happened. That’s true, no one knows what happened in the Lambo or when they got out, but we do know that Rihanna was taken to hospital and Chris was arrested, and released on bail. If he really cared about her rather than saving his own skin, he would’ve stayed with her and foned for help or asked a passer-by at least. That just makes things worse. If it was ’self defense’ as people keep trying to reason, his people would’ve filed it so there would’ve been more responsiblity on both parts. Roll on March 5th for him to express his feelings and justify his actions before the judge.

People are quick to say, ‘but there are females who act crazy and batter their men’ as a way of reasoning with Chris’ actions which is very true and also unnacceptable. Anyone who can’t resolve an issue without resorting to violence everytime needs to assess their behaviour to say the least.
But lets face FACTS of this incident, its Rihanna’s face the world has seen, and not Chris’. If it were his picture, I’d be condoning her behaviour and lack of self control… But its not.

I am not bitter in the slightest, because it wasnt my significant other that beat me to a pulp until I almost died. Chris was not at the scene when the cops arrived.
Neither one of the involved parties have made statements surrounding the altercation.
So far, no one else has revealed having witnessed the altercation.

However, we have seen pictures and as they say a picture is worth a thousand words i.e from the perspective of the viewer.

I have seen a picture of Chris’s knuckles all bruised up(don’t know if it is real)
I have seen a picture of Rihanna’s face all bruised up(supposedly a real picture according to the LA Police).

I cannot imagine someone in a fight only smacking the opponent’s face, so I am left to speculate as to where else, on the body, either party may have sustained injuries.

This is all I know so far. Much of what I read from these posts, in my opinion, amounts to nothing more than a ton of cow shit.

There must have been some sort of accident and her face hit the dashboard. The 2 knots on her head look identical, which could have come from an instant hit to the dashboard… He had to slam the breaks while they were arguing and hitting each other.
