India.Arie releases a video for “Chocolate High” featuring Musiq Soulchild, the lead single from her upcoming album, Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics, which hits stores next Tuesday, February 10.
In a message to her fans on MySpace, India.Arie said:
I’m SOOOO excited for you to hear the new songs. In fact, for the past few days I have been in the studio rehearsing them all with my band and singers. When we recorded the songs we used a live band to lay down the tracks (which was a wonderful experience in itself,) but it is an amazing feeling to experience these songs coming alive through the musicians and vocalists. I can not wait to share them onstage.
The chemistry between them is undeniable. I wonder if they’ll tour together…
they’ve got some chemistry….hmmmmm….this is my new jam…love love it

This song shouldn’t be her first single. It will definitely have a negative affect on her album sells….with that said, she is sooo talented and I love her music. Not feeling “Chocolate High”. To the chick who said she’s offended by the title of the song because she’s a redbone, please, get real and get over yourself. We beautiful chocolate sistas barely see ourselves on TV, let alone have any artists create songs about how beautiful we are, so it’s always good to get some love shown.
