VIDEOS: JAMIE FOXX FT. T-PAIN - “BLAME IT”
Thursday, February 26, 2009
Check this new video from Jamie Foxx for his latest single “Blame It”, featuring T-Pain. The Hype Williams directed video features a number of cameos from folks like Ron Howard, Quincy Jones, Forest Whitaker, Jake Gyllenhaal, Morris Chesnut, Tatyana Ali, and Bill Bellamy.
Interesting ensemble indeed - “Blame It” is the third single off his third studio album Intuition.

What was fun about it? What was the point of having an uncomfortable looking Jake Gyllenhall and Ron Howard in the video? They stuck out like sore thumbs. Ron Howard looks like he should be investigated for child molestation. Jake Gyllenhall nd Jamie Foxx are probably more likely to leave a club with each other than with a woman. The point of motion pictures is like all other aspects of entertainment in this society, to make life imitate art by putting vain thoughts in the heads of people like yourself. The fact of the matter is that these “artists” are out of ideas, as are these video directors, and it is indicative of the fall of this society. Everything is hackneyed and corny.

I like the video in the sense of seeing all of these famous actors and such, but they could have been utilized in better ways instead of just posting in the club,a storyline or something.

Get it Jamie! I didn’t like this song at first because I got tired of auto tune, I’m still sick of it actually but thissong grew on me. This is a banger and it’ll be a hit for sure. I agree with the 2 psts above, I was expecting the music video to have a story line with all that acting talent a part of the cameo, but who would;ve thought they would see Ron Howard in a R&B music video? That and the other tons of cameos in this still made the video a win.
I think that’s Johnnie Mack in the panda suit. I think he said that would be him a few weeks ago. Foxxhole radio listeners know who I’m talking about. LOL.

LOL! Look at Bill Bellamy’s ass just happy to be there. HAHAHA
I feel kinda awkward about Ron Howard and Forrest Whitaker being in the video tho…was that really necessary? THEY must’ve felt awkward too!

Oh and Judah, shut your pompous ass up. I know I’m the last to talk about coming off like a dick because sometimes I do it too but SERIOUSLY… do all that “womp womp womp”-ing on a post about something more SERIOUS. Nig, this is a post about a damn video. BUMP YOUR BRAKES. I understand society is running wild w/ children disguised as adults and the video overdid it w/ the cameos but still… you’re words were a little too harsh for a damn video. Go sip some tea, dude.

Most of the artist out right now are talented but unfortunately this is what the record companies are signing on as art. If you guys can’t see it already their sole purpose is to dumb the masses down with this illusion I call nonsense. If it’s not degrading, materialistic, sexual or violent it wont be hot. Im not even going to lie because the song is catchy, but it’s trash. That’s how they reel you in.
@ yea whatever
You nailed it. Altering perceptions is exactly what videos like this accomplish. When perceptions are altered people start thinking that what they see on tv is in fact reality and start mimicking it, especially when it comes to youth. And that is the target audience for 106 & Park.

Jamie cool… nice club joint but I can’t believe they still swinging glasses and tossing money in the club. I remember why I can’t watch videos no more. Creativity is so limited.

that vocal effect is so damn annoying I had to stop about 15 seconds after he started ’singing’. i know it’s something about blaming it on the alcohol … doesn’t sound like I’m missing anything
