Actually if you go back to “MTV Cribs” before Bey was a solo artist, you would see Solange was the “rebel” of the family; she had her own room in the basement because she would blast her music so loud and disturb her other family members, so, I don’t think she is trying to hard to “not be Bey” I would go so far, to say “Bey might want to be more like Solange” but she has more musical status. It’s just hard for her to do what she want now. Solange has more freedom than Bey for sure.
