Kelly was dumped because she fired Matthew as her manager. These people stick together, Columbia knows that Beyonce is valuable so I wouldnt doubt if Matthew played his Beyonce hand to get Kelly out of there. Matthew is known for Saying “Beyonce wont do this, if you dont do that”…….this is how Beyonce gets so much play because her daddy makes all the shady deals behind her back. I do wonder if Beyonce feels bad for Kelly, or is her attitude “Oh well, thats the business”.. Kelly would be commercial if they market her right instead of giving her crappy songs and producers to work with. Kelly is apart of the biggest girl band and she is getting dropped like this? What about Michelle, she is garbage. In all honesty Rihanna should not be doing better than Kelly because Kelly came out of a girl group with millions of fans.

I met Kelly last year and she was breath-taking beautiful in person with no signs of makeup and just as nice and humble. I wish her well in her future endeavors.

You gguys need to learn how to read. Obviously Kelly left them and that is evident in how she says it took alot of “soul searching to move out on her own”, and how the label says that the decision was mutual & that any reports stating the contrary are false they wouldnt say all that if they dropped her they’d say something like “yeah we let her go”, she left them which is not hard to believe since she also ditched matthew.
Last year news came up about Kelly making some big changes this year and thats what shes doing.
Its like shes having a Janet “control” moment in her career, and I personally hope everything works out well for her.

People are so fickle…cause the haters well know that Ms. Rowland is more valuable that so many other artists on the Columbia label. I think she will do great…it can only get better from here cause she has obviously been coming to her senses and taking control of her career.God will continue to bless her. And for those so naive to think that Kelly will be broke anytime soon…get urselves together…we all know the girl has bank. @29 J records and Columbia are divisions of Sony BMG so basically theyre the same label. She’d be better off at a label not afiliated with Sony because theyre known for their shadyness and have been caught out for paying stations to play artists songs etc

I’m actually surprised that Columbia didn’t drop her sooner, her albums haven’t shifted at all and considering she was from DC (who had a massive fanbase) she should have sold more cd’s. Even the digital rerelease of Miss Kelly didn’t do well.

Kelly has made some silly decisions with her career which she can’t blame the label for, the single choices for her last album were dreadful. WORK didn’t even have a proper chorus, it was such a forgettable song. She should have released Addicted to you, In love with my ex. etc. Plus her live performances are beyond lack luster, despite the fact that she should be able to sing and dance live she can’t and if you can’t do both then pick one and stick with it. Her songs also don’t showcase her vocal ability.
Fair enough Columbia didn’t promote her properly, but theyre not fully to blame for this. Kelly needs to take charge of her career and probably focus on working in Britain because thats the only place where she might stand a chance of making it- (with Cowell/Fuller supporting her)

I sort of feel like “Who Cares About Kelly” right now, because 10 years ago, LeToya and LaTavia had a dispute between them and she wanted to talk shit then…Now that shit ain’t going the way she planned she wants to leave Columbia and fire Matthew.
