Musiq Soulchild has released a video for “SoBeautiful”, the third single from his fifth album, Onmyradio.
A photographer in the video, Musiq notices a neighbor’s natural beauty. He invites her to his place and asks her to be his model. Her pictures are printed in a magazine titled “So Beautiful” and he sends it to her with a note: “I desperately need a stand-in tonight.”

Here is a new video coming from Jazmine Sullivan for her fourth single, “Dream Big”. The video was once again directed by Syndrome, who also also was responsible for her last joint “Lions, Tiger, & Bears”.
“Dream Big” was produced by Missy Elliott and is also Jazmine’s first single in the UK from her debut self-titled album.
OMG. The Musiq video! I love it. Personally I love music videos with storylines. And I might be a little biased, because this is currently the most played song in my iTunes.

I have always loved Musiq Soulchild. His latest cd onmyradio is the bomb! Musiq is such an underrated artist he should have been more popular than he is now. Every last one of his cds, Just like my girl Brandy aka B-Rocka are classics. The music video and the song are beautifully put together.

The main girl in Music’s video is obvioulsy paying somebody or the next big video girl cause just recently she’s been the main girl in Soulja boy’s kiss me through the phone video, Bobby V. Beep…and now this!! Why is Music taking pics wit sunglasses on.j/k still funny though.
Will someone please get a message to Jazmine and tell her to cut her ties with Messy! Why is she singing songs about becoming a star and dreaming big? And, that music is heinous! Sounds like something in the movies they play at alternative lifestyle clubs and the YMCA.
Don’t get me wrong, Jazmine could sang “Mary Had A Little Lamb” and make it rock, but why waste time with the dark side? If Jazmine, Fantasia and Jennifer learn nothing else from Whitney and Areatha, it should be that you have to strike while the iron is hot! You can do things with your voice and hit notes in your teens, 20s and 30s that you eventually lose. Even sooner if you sang hard like Fantasia. When a singers start losing their range, they turn to “Love Overboard” and “Pink Cadillac”.
American Idol makes the point…you can have great potential, but picking the wrong song is a deal breaker. Jazmine is a R&B singer…not a “disco-riokee”. Gladys made her career on singing “Midnight Train to Georgia” and “Neither One Of Us, Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye”. Areatha sang, “Natural Woman”, “Doctor Feelgood” and “Respect”! Whitney sang, “Saving All My Love For You” and “I Will Always Love You”. These are all songs that showcased the singers…not the producer.
Jazmine should be killing it now! She should contact Luther’s people (Nat Adderley Jr.) and let them produce her. She’d be better off with Kirk Franklin! lol! I’m sorry for the diss, but Simon and Randy would tell her to play to her strengths…she knows her own strengths. That’s what make Alicia Keys so special…she stays in her lane.
I’m just asking, why are there sixteen bars of instrumentals on the tail of a song when Jazmine Sullivan is in the studio? She should be closing down songs like a gospel singer taking communion on a First Sunday. lol! Even Jennifer’s song, “If This Isn’t Love” is catchy.

I love Jazzy and I’m glad she decided to make “Dream Big” her newest music video. She can do no wrong in my book but thats me. I do wish she would give more in her videos and live performances because she’s so talented vocally I just hate to see her miss out because she is a great artist!

I’m still upset that she was totally shut out of the Grammys! I didn’t see her the entire night, I wish she would’ve performed. The bottomline is that if she doesn’t market herself better then she’ll will never reach her true potential. Of course, she doesn’t fit the “typical’ hollywood mold but thats what I love about her she just has to figure out how to make what she has work. I’m rooting for you Jazzy!

Bona-Fide hits??? Dream Big is not! Besides, I”ve heard of gold, platinum, multi-platinum, and diamond, but I ain’t neva, eva, eva heard of no “Bona-Fide” or multi-Bona-Fide! lol! The American RIAA- does not certify Bona-Fide!

I heard the Jazmine Sullivan song on the radio the other day ( and mainstream radio at that) before I saw the vid on the telly and I really loved it. The vid is cool and she looks stunning so it’s all good. I’m loving the Daft Punk sample. At least it sounds like it.
I’m also liking Musiq’s song even though and I’m not really into smooth RnB and slow jamz and Dwele’s choon is proper weighty, I’m feeling it. I could listen to all three choons when I’m chillaxing

As someone who’s seen Musiq perform live every year since his first record, he rocks it out live and knows how to entertain the audience. He’s short as all heck and has a tendency to wear those damn long shorts instead of pants but the vocals are ridiculous (also his band and backup singers kill it). Dwele, on the other hand, is someone whose music I’ve loved on record since the first CD but live…..he has disappointed me every time (3 times) I tried to check him out. Jazmine deserves to be invested in and the label needs to realize that, recession or not. Her voice is consistently amazing and she gives you chills when you hear her perform live. I don’t need somebody moving all over the stage or whatever if they can’t “SANG” at the same time. I’d rather have them move a little, play with the audience for laughs and make me not regret spending my money on the concert ticket.
