ON THE SET: DENZEL IN “THE BOOK OF ELI”
A bearded Denzel Washington was spotted on the set of his latest movie “The Book of Eli” in New Mexico earlier this week.
Washington takes on the lead role of Eli, in the post-apocalyptic action film about a man who fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind. It is expected to be released January 15, 2010.

It’s going to be a good movie!
I notice many of these new “apocalyptic” movies have a black male actor in the lead role of saving the world, or some type of black character that is integral to the salvation of humanity. It seems obvious that there is a hope that through these movies, as this society crumbles, the other races are hoping to imbue in the minds of black people that they should chip in to keep the other races in a position of power.
Awww I can’t wait til it comes out. I love he some Denzel. He is one of my favorite actor’s!!!!! He always play in some good roles!!

Let’s just be grateful it doesn’t star Will Smith. I can never watch a Will Smith movie and not see “Will Smith” rather than the character he’s trying to portray.

Have you ever watched how past Presidents come into office with full hair and no gray to thinning and gray before the end of their first term? Check out Obama. Man has been in office less than 60 days and already gray. It’s a heavy burden, but I digress.
Denzel is one hell of an actor. Like someone said you don’t see him. You see the character he is portraying. Still love Training Day……………..well deserved Oscar. You go boy :-0

You have to be joking. Smith’s roles in Ali and I AM LEGEND where “the bomb”, as far as portraying a character goes. Hancock and Maybe Men in Black, he could’ve did alittle better, but those movies are for younger audiences. Of Course right now, Denzel is the actor’s choice by far any actor, but I promise you, if and when D.W. retires, the only person that is going to be on the Fresh Prince’s level is Forrest Whittaker!

I love Denzel Washington..he’s such a great actor and makes you feel each character. It’s like he reinvents himself every single time. That is true art..these young actors really need to pick his brain and find out what’s he’s done to have such longevity in the business, before he retires. I was so happy when he finally won an Oscar Denzel Washington definitely deserved it. There’s not one movie of Denzel that i don’t like and he has such a great body of work, it’s really really impressive. I also like how he makes sure if he has a wife or gf in a movie she’s always a sista. It’s beautiful to see Black love on the big screen, i gotta respect him for portraying that in all his movies. Denzel is definitely the man the older he gets the better he gets.
