UH UH,Nina was a beloved song STYLIST, not a screamer. Jazz has sensibilities and nuances. none of which Mary J can muster. I can see Mary all bent over and doing that march she does when she is singling. All ghetto styles leaning forward with the ass in the air. It doesn’t matter how dignified she is dressed or how beautiful she looks she always REVERTS that ghetto stance and messes up the whole look. Simone was a gifted pianist who studied at Julliard not a hood rat that made it big. I know, I know yall love her. She’s a cute kid but doesn’t have the depth nor politics either. I would loved to see INDIA IRIE in that role. She most closely resembles her and politically on target.

Her hairstyle was in that style to coincide with the movie.
