Rihanna spotted arriving at Nobu in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. The singer has been spotted out and about all week housing shopping in the Hollywood Hills.
Rihanna also got a new gun tattoo last week. Life & Style Magazine spoke to her tattoo artist BangBang and this is what he said:
“She flew me out to LA for the day because she was getting a tattoo for one of her friends as a birthday gift. She’d been toying with the idea for a while to get another tattoo. I’ve done other tattoos for her; I added stars to the ones she already had. So when I was done with her friend, we talked about what she wanted to get. She was doing research on what would look good, and I drew up a couple of things on the back of her arm, but they weren’t the perfect one. I’m a big advocate of guns. So I said, ‘How about a gun?’ I printed out a picture of a gun that I thought would look good, and she loved it. We were thinking of putting it on her finger next to her wrist, or on her shoulders. She loved that, but it took away from her face, and you know, she’s a CoverGirl, so we couldn’t do that! So we put it under her ribs and she loved it. It took about 15 minutes. She didn’t complain while I did the tattoo. We also talked about her getting a skull and crossbones, but she didn’t love it.”

I find it laughable how people can be on your side one minute and turn on you so quickly. So called “fans” are nothing more than strangers just waiting for the opportunity to being someone down.
How is her personal decision to get a tattoo of a gun such a controversial issue? is it because guns are so prevalent in the black community that we have started to fear something that is not always a negative force? Guns are a form of protection. I keep one under the mattress; it’s a necessary evil – believe that! Just because some people misuse them should not take away from her choice of expression.
Furthermore, what woman has not been in a traumatic relationship? Shit happens. She’s been through a lot. Frankly, I would be more concerned about her if she weren’t walking around looking down, sad, whatever. Some women and men are mistaken thinking that it makes you “strong” to pretend like nothing affects you when its actually weak as hell. I have no problem letting people know when I am down, happy, sad, affected, whatever. Hell, that’s real.
And I am so tired of the role model bullshit being levied against celebrities. What if they aren’t looking to be a role model? What if they are just looking to express themselves the way they like? What if I have something to say that doesn’t apply to your kids? Everything isn’t and shouldn’t be made for children. This is ridiculous. Not all of us go knocked up and are burdened with finding acceptable entertainment for children. I don’t want to listen to a celebrity singing about teen issues, kid-friendly songs, etc. I want to hear about adult issues, what do I need Nickelodeon-approved music for? That BS is not relevant to my interests.
People need to calm down and let her get through this situation the way she sees fit. No one is perfect, and I know all of you have had some relationship drama before and things are just not quite right the first few months. Stop judging so harshly and be more understanding. This tattoo is really not that big of a deal. Some people are just addicted to drama and need to find hidden agendas in everything.
