Another track for Keri’s In A Perfect World… sessions has leaked, titled “Hurts Me.” I really love the sound of this song, it really would have been a great addition to the album. If I’m not mistaken, Candice Nelson of The Clutch can be heard on background vocals and has co-writing credits on the track.

I’ve yet to be really wowed by anything that has leaked from these new Day26 efforts for their new album, Forever In A Day (love that album title – it reminds me of Prince’s Around the World In A Day). But I was intrigued by the simple, futuristic sound of the production (credits to Roy Hamilton) on this new track, “Get Away Girl.” I love the simplictiy of the hook too. Forever In A Day is set to hit shelves next month, April 14th.

The new single for Electrik Red seems to be taking off quite well, and I’m glad too, considering the girls were three videos and singles deep. They are currently on the I Am Music tour, opening up for the likes of T-Pain, Keri Hilson and Lil’ Wayne, so it’s only appropriate that he hopped on the remix for their collab with The Dream. I’m digging this song, and the video, directed by Melina has really been getting a lot of air time. It’s good to see what their project, How to Be A Lady: Volume 1 is going to get some shine.

More material from Mario has begun to surface. The simplistic production is really a good look for Mario’s voice, because it really allows him to show the maturity and progression of his voice, since he first came onto the scene at such a young age. One thing I can say that I appreciate about Mario is the fact that he’s been able to make the transition from being a child star to a serious artist. It’s been a rocky road for a couple who were in his same situation.

The Mario joint (Afraid To Cry – Hardest Moment) is a nice, mellow song. Still not feeling the Electrik Red joint (So Good – Remix W/Lil Wayne) even with Lil Wayne on it. The Day 26 joint (Get Away Girl) is a nice, chill joint. The Keri Hilson joint (Hurts Me) is nice, but she sounds like a mix of Letoya Luckett and Karina Pasian

this electrik red = kelis voice (lead singer )but girl group + pussy cat dolls + girlalicous or whatever the fuck they are dumb video personalities + stupid ass names + one single or with any lick cd is gonna be but out then the group is gonna fall apart + just like every other girl group + aint nothing really going on rite now so they think they have a chance beside keri hilson + they prbly don’t anyways! lol + Are they from ATL?…….figures + somebody from that girl group use’d to be on tv or something. LOL!

Mario was able to make the transition from child to adult star because even though he started out young, he was always known for having a mature voice.

@ Tory- I agree w/ ya about Electrik Red-they seem like they’re tryin’ to cop Kelis’ style. Also, the girl group/boy group thing isn’t hot right now (except for the Jonas Brothers-& they only appeal to teenagers). These grls are obv pretty, have some talent-but I don’t think they’re being themselves. And the slutty routine they do in almost every video isn’t becoming-they’re better than that. I think they’d have more success doing str8 R&B/Soul.

i agree with 30 “Big Von’. However you do have to keep in mind that ppl are scared of things they aren’t use too. These women are strong minded say what ever the hell they want. so most ppl are frightened by thIs type of openness from female performers. what ppl usually see are female performers that sale sex on the stage and yet in interviews the wanna act all timid an innocent. Electrik Red are a group of women who own their sexuality and just don’t care, that ‘s what i love about them. also ppl have this misconception that these ladies are just a bunch of video hoes who decided to sing. while they do not know that these four ladies are all graduates of elite performing arts schools, they are trained in dance, music and arts ect. Lesley even has a bachelor degree in psychology. Ppl who are both late and early adapters of music will soon appreciate these girls and what they bring to the table. i haven’t been blown away by many up and coming artists but these girls have my attention. I’m anticipating the arrival of their album.

I’m loving that Day26 joint…I don’t know why people are hating on their new stuff. It’s bangin’! I wish Bad Boy would do a better job of promoting them. The Keri Hilson joint is pretty phat too…better than some of the stuff on the 2nd half of her CD.
This Ker Hilson song shouldn’t have been a bonus track but an actual single. I love it. The beggining sounds like Nick Lachey-What Left of Me. But overall its a good song and a great hook.
