My anticipation is building for Cassie’s album because of the new single, “Must Be Love,” featuring Diddy. But also because on Twitter, Diddy won’t stop talking about this amazing Bad Boy comeback! This new track from Cassie and Akon is produced by RedOne, who Akon has seriously put on with the production on Lady Gaga’s #1 hit, “Just Dance,” which also features his artist, Colby O’Donis. It sounds like exactly like something left over from Gaga’s album, The Fame.

“Hey Girl” is a track taken from Keri Hilson’s In A Perfect World… sessions that didn’t make the album, but was rumored to be on the official tracklisting. Although the song is fun, I’m glad it didn’t make the final cut, because the content doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the material on Keri’s debut. However, it does fit in with the running trend of songs about drinking.
♫ Pussycat Dolls – Painted Windows (full) – listen
The Pussycat Dolls are re-releasing their album, Doll Domination, and I think the Darkchild-produced “Painted Windows” is on the new songs making the cut. Although I like “Painted Windows,” it sounds a lot like Chris Brown’s hit “Forever” to me. It is pleasing, however, to see that more of the Dolls are getting to sing more on the tracks, because at one point, it was only front woman Nicole Scherzinger lending her vocal chops on background and lead vocals.

Songwriter Sean Garrett still has been lending his pen to other artist, but has had a hard time getting some team behind releasing his debut solo album, Turbo 919. I don’t know if there’s any news on whether or not the album is coming out, and retooled (considering it leaked months ago), but “Animal” is some new material that I haven’t heard before. Maybe Sean Garrett hasn’t lost hope on getting Turbo 919 out this year. His real passion must really lie in being an artist.

Erm im not sure on Keri Hilson. She has been advertised as a breath of fresh air and original but her song writing and the solo material she has released is bla and same old, same old. Nothing seperates her from what other “heavy-weight” females are doing i.e. the ciara’s, beyonces and…(cant think of anyone else lol). She just sounds & looks like any other female artist. Maybe im wrong? I mean i know not every single artist is going to be ‘different’ but i dunno, Im just not understanding the hype yet…

Wow, Cassie’s still attempting to make “music”. Honest to God, I really think she should just stick with modelling, because she has no discernable musical talent. That Pussycat Dolls song got annoying after about 12 seconds, same goes for Keri. W/E to Sean Garrett, there’s a reason why most songwriters should stay behind the scenes.
I am not a fan of Cassie’s and her singing ability is below radar, but this is not bad for her. It’s pop and some don’t appreciate that genre, but I can’t hate on her for this one. It’s in her lane and she don’t sound bad.
