I saw this video this morning. I like it. Yeah, maybe done before, but tell me what hasn’t been done before. And I do like the fact its not a typical video: flashing materialistic stuff (expensive cars, houses, money), bottle poppin (and/or referencing alcohol), and eye candy (women just walking around overshowing their physical assets).

Let me rephrase part of my statement for some people. Women overshowing their assets and it has nothing to do with the concept, Like the old men are really trying to stay young and get with any kind of woman to bring them fun. Even though I get tired I seeing that. Like I take one video for example, the new bowwow video. He’s talking about a woman (i’m assuming more classy) on how she can get everything from him, but the video shows one woman basically walking bouncing her butt chicks going across the grass. Exactly how does that fit in the theme with that?

Let’s be real, if a woman didn’t want to be half naked in a video, they wouldn’t do it. They can get a check elsewhere. But they do whatever that the director entails in the treatment. The only reason you even see that in videos is if the song has sexually suggestive lyrics, so don’t be surprised if there is sexual images in the visual representation of the song.

In response to #26, no I’m not expecting business suit. I think there are other clothes worn by women that can classify them sexy, like a dress for example. I do recall some women wearing things like maybe a dress and still considered sexy. Oh yeah, I do remember in some of ludacris videos, even a recent one, a woman wearing a business suit, but she still acting seductive, so it kind of don’t help my argument. But just wanted to put that fact out there though.
And yes, I do agree with you if a woman didn’t want to be in a video, she doesn’t. I do disagree with your reasoning about using sexuality in videos. I feel directors regardless of what the song is about sometimes, use women explicitly in videos, to get notice cause you know one of the old sayings, sex sells.

Folks ask about why are the women half naked don’t realize the song is about women. And the artists are men! They’re visual interpretations of the song and should be treated as such.
If you got a problem with people of both genders half naked in the videos, then you’d have to chalk it up to the fact that 90% of our music is pretty vulgar.
