This is the point of consistently casting Justin Timberlake as the romantic lead opposite these black female singers in their video, while concurrently promoting his relationship with his white woman in real life. The subliminal message is that the black woman is a slide off, a whore, and an entity desperate for attention and recognition from the white man. The white man can have his own white woman, and a stable family and home, and at the same time destroy the black man by using up these silly black women. That will go over 99% of the black womens’ heads anyway. I think that “objectification of the black female” is only an issue when the black male allegedly pimps out black women in videos. Nice Try Ciara. However, the song is vert weak and therefore will flop like the previous singles. Ciara should return to her early days, not necesarily 1-2 step but “Get Up”. Additionally, the video is beyond suggestive to the point of quite crude. It was redundantly “sex-oriented”. Ofcourse the song is titled, “sex, magic…whatever” there are subtle and classier ways to demonstrate that concept. The video had no clear direction besides toward Ciara’s body parts. In regards to Justin…oh well. I am sure he enjoys his role of staring at beautiful women, such as Rhianna and Ciara. But he contributed very little besides his name.

You can sense the desperation in this video on Ciara’s part, but you know what I think this song will finally be a hit for her. The video is a little too raunchy though, she will have to edit this if she wants the video played on 106th & Park or MTV.
