Electrik Red releases a new video for their third single, “So Good,” which we featured in our Hot Or Not section not too long ago. The clip was directed by Melina, who has been known for creating iconic images for woman in videos. Melina has worked with Beyonce, Eve, Snoop Dogg, Solange, Keri Hilson and many others.
The girls release their debut album, How to Be a Lady: Volume 1 via The Dream’s Radio Killa Records/Def Jam on April 12th.

The video was isane, always a fan of Melina’s work. The song however was barely noticeable. If the single sounds like this I’d hate to hear what the album sounds like. But Melina def knows how to turn a bad situation and make it watchable……
Neva heard of these girls…I guess so if this is their third single and the album hasn’t dropped yet. The song is not as bad if you’re a fan of 90′s R&B. It reminds me of music from that era. Great video and choreography tho.

the song sucks and sounds dated, the video is incredibly boring, I dont see any star quality in any of them, they look really old, I saw them at a Neyo concert and the performance was really weak , it didnt even look like they were actually singing, no chemistry just up there doing a job to get a check….

The video was very boring (cheap) love the colors. They are very pretty girls. Their sound it the old sound of Vanity 6 Prince old female group back in the day. That’s where Dream got the sound. Nothing original or new about it…. I must admit Dream CD is hot. I’m just sick of these producers trying to make their sound fit female Artist. Look at T-Pain’s Group Sophie Fresh. Then you have Rich Harrison with Richgirl a knock off of Destiny Child. It doesn’t work for everybody. Producer need to earn their money and be a little more creative.
How old are they 30 something and what market are they going for MEN. White America already thinks all we are good for is sex, drinking and shaking our ass. Is this the direction the industry is going… We are in trouble big time.. R&B is slowly coming back: )… Not fast enough when vocals matters.

Yes this song is very reminiscent of 90′s R&B. Thats exactly why I like it so much! Its so simple and not over the top at all.
I just watched the video Friend Lover. Once again, no substance to this group. This is like their third video out. It’s pretty obvious something isn’t working.

I am just feeling this group! I keep trying because of what L.A Reid said about their album, but that girl singing lead is just not that great of a singer. She’s like a bootleg Dawn from Danity Kane or something, I don’t even know if I can compare Dawn to her because Dawn can kill but that chick just sounds like BLAH.
The video was creative, and the song (the production) is actually hot. It just should not be their record. I guess I need to hear what the other girls sound like.

EnVogue had little sisters and their names are Electrik Red, as far as looks are concerned. The song was a bit boring, but I liked the video. They looked young, fresh, and new! I would love to hear their 4 part harmony as a group, but I liked the video and I will give them another chance to WOW me……

I liked the song and video. It was mello and laid back and had a 90′s R&B fell to it. There aren’t really any girl groups out right now, and I think these girls have what it takes to possibly become something big. They are all Fine as hell and sexy!!! So, good luck to them!

Girlgroups of the 90s could actually sang! All of the girls in Envogue could sing their backsides off so I don’t get the comparison to Electric Red.
The lyrics to So good are abismal, and the supposed “lead singer” can barely carry a tune. Her voice is weak and so is the song. I doubt this will be a success on mainstream charts unless theyre label pays radio to play it.
Being a booty shaker is not synonymous with being a member of a successful girlband, or at least it shouldn’t be. They need to start giving recording contracts to people with talent and not to people who are willing to shake their behinds and take their clothes off.
