Electrik Red releases a new video for their third single, “So Good,” which we featured in our Hot Or Not section not too long ago. The clip was directed by Melina, who has been known for creating iconic images for woman in videos. Melina has worked with Beyonce, Eve, Snoop Dogg, Solange, Keri Hilson and many others.
The girls release their debut album, How to Be a Lady: Volume 1 via The Dream’s Radio Killa Records/Def Jam on April 12th.

When i first heard this song, I thought it was a new female solo artist simply bcuz I didnt hear any other vocals on the lyrics. Never thought it was a female group. It is a catchy song , something that isn’t too weird or too boring. But, The video just doesn’t do anything for me. there is nothing creative, new, fresh or interesting about the video at all!!! This groups image isn’t strong enough to last like other female groups in our past. The need more definition , more balance. Find something that will stand them out. cuz this video does not hold up at all!!

They are a pretty group….But Destiny’s Child made it so HARD for girl groups,DC been gone for almost 4 years now and not 1 girl group made it big on the Pop Charts, I mean Destiny’s Child did everything, I think groups will kill their self if they was to Follow in DC foot Steps, they made is so hard ,I mean Danity Kane had 2 No.1 albums, but far as records sells and World Domination None has done that Destiny’s Child really I mean really made their Mark…

Visually – The Video Was Nice. Not Too Sure About The Group. THe group seems to be a mixture of TLC, Vanity 6, Girlicious and Kelis.
This is the ONLY song I’ve liked from this group so far. I like the Vanity 6 vibe of this track, and because it reminds me of something Kelis and TLC (whom I big fans of) would sing and probably do much better with it. I totally agree with the suggestion, that they should not let the one with the curly hair sing the lead for most of the songs, she doesn’t have much of a voice and if they want to succeed as a group they need to stand out. It won’t happen with her voice. But to tell you the truth, I don’t think this group will last that long, they have a nice look but something’s missing. I think it’s vocal texture. People want to be impressed with vocals. It’s too many established artists out now that don’t have much vocal range, so when something new comes out, you just want something different.
Someone mentioned that other video that have called Friend/Lover. I saw that video the other day and the song and video is horrible. This is the only song I see so far that could be a hit. The other stuff they’ve come out with is just fluff. Like I said, I think this group will last one hot second.
And the comparing this group to En Vogue, must be out of their minds. Every member in En Vogue can sing their behind off, and they all took turns with verses for their songs. They even had a fair amount of face time in their music videos. I saw that they are on the cover on the new Jet this week. I know it’s hard for people to comeback after a long hiatus, but I really hope their successful with it, because they the best female group in the 90s to me. They could definitely fill that void missing in R&B groups at the moment and show these other groups out here how to share the spotlight, while having the talent and class too.

The concept of the video is cute! Love the colors! However it seems as if they put four good looking dancers together who can give a good show but have no talent when it comes to singing. The lead singer is ok but to me her voice is a little weak. Non of the other girls really sing I think one of them talks a little, one sings a little backup, and the other just looks pretty… If they want to make a break through they really need a lead singer whose voice is unique and stronger and can bring something different to the music game!
