Although Cassie garnered plenty attention for herself over the weekend by shaving one side of her head off, some of us have not neglected the fact that she has an album coming out and that she actually has new music coming out. The latest of the material to leak is The Dream-assisted “Keep On Lovin’ Me,” which isn’t a half bad pop record. Although, I’m not quite sure how it will fit in with the flow of the album, considering the sound on Cassie’s current single, “Must Be Love.”

I absolutely love these guys. I love their writing – I get really hooked onto their songs. “Rockin’ My Body” is no different. Even though it feels slightly like Chris Brown’s “Forever,” I think it’s a really good record for them. I’m hoping that their new single with Swizz Beats helps them move forward with the process of releasing their album via Akon’s Konvict music, because these guys are talented writers.

Lil’ Wayne is really just singing on this track, no rapping at all. It’s interesting to see him on this remix, but I guess he is trying to more familiarize himself more with “rock” culture, considering that he is releasing his rock-inspired album, The Rebirth, in June, lead by the single, “Prom Queen.” More than anything, though, “American’s Suitehearts” sounds more like a pop mid-tempo with a rock vocal, plus Lil’ Wayne’s pseudo-sing, complete with AutoTune.

Check out this new track from Bobby Valentino, which wasn’t featured on his most recent released, The Rebirtch, which is really too bad beecause it actually makes me feel very reminiscent of the ’90′s, with the structure of its chorus. I really actually like this song, from the production to Bobby’s vocal performance. I would have liked to have seen this on the album.

She didn’t sound this bad when Ryan Leslie was producing her tracks. Her first CD wasn’t this bad.

I liked the feel of Bobby’s song but I’m not looking for new slow music. OMG do I even need to comment on the fuckery that is Cassie right now lol? I don’t even know why I wasted time to listen but I did and she can have those 10 sec. of my life since she needs a new one! I like RC sometimes but their pop ish is NOT the ish. Oh and I didn’t bother to listen to FOB because I like their old stuff. They’ve released more pop/punk songs as singles (which was the 1st warning they were going to sell-out) and their last album was NOTHING like the original pop/emo FOB I grew up on (the straw breaking the camel’s back). So if Wayne wants to get “associated” w/ the rock crowd, wrong band to jump on. I think he’s trying to get associated w/ that kind fanbase *pointing to Kennie* for future sales… or at least that would be the smart and logical reasoning behind the remix.
Oh and after looking @ this year’s Warped Tour line-up, I take back what I said about Wayne not deserving an invite. He’ll fit right in w/ those posers… gosh I miss the old days.

The writing for these reviews always seem off. I think if they were more objective and less about the author’s personal taste, they wouldn’t come across as being so biased. Nothing wrong with promoting music of people you’re friends with, but properly reviewing the content of the songs without unnecessary side comments would make these more bearable. Proof reading and spell check would be a great start.

I like the song by Cassie. I think it’s in the direction of which she should stick with. The more uptempo songs. It goes along with her voice better the midtepmpo songs she keeps doing. I hope the next song of hers to leak is even faster.

Bobby V.- That song is pretty nice. Good flow. His voice sounds whiny to me sometimes. Lol.
