This past weekend, I got a chance to kick it in the studio with Cassie down here in Atlanta. She came to town with Diddy and played some of her new tracks for producer Dallas Austin at his studio. She was also accompanied by singer/songwriter Kalenna (pictured below), who was so much fun to be around.
Cassie’s new album is shaping up to be quite an interesting project with some really great sounds. We sat around, talking about music, life and just had a great time. Cassie and Diddy made us feel right at home. Check out the pics and stay tuned for some new music from Cassie…

I heard the unmastered sessions of her latest project yesterday. It’s shaping up to be pretty dope. She cant sing for a dam, but you ain’t heard that from me.
So Rihanna changed her style and hair, and it did wonders for her….I mean she became the “it” girl.

the thing is looks-wise it works. she looks fly. it’s her personality that will prevent her from making the strides that riri did. riri is good at acting like she thinks she’s it. cassie isn’t. cassie is awkward on stage and still hasn’t learned how to pretend that she’s all that. i know ye was talking about how he showed riri vids of grace jones and told her to learn from the vids. she’s also studied gwen who she toured with and said she admired. she looks at performers and imitates them to make up for her lack of natural stage presence (some ppl have natural presence even at the beginning of their career and some have to learn). cassie needs to learn how to do that. diddy hasn’t helped her in that cetagory. once she gets her presence in check and releases more mainstream pop, she could be big

why people got to always compare Cassie with Rihanna? it doesn’t make no sense. Just cuz someone decides to get a different hair style doesn’t mean you gotta compare them with Rihanna. Rihanna aint no trendsetter. I work in the fashion industry and honey, trust me there is nothing called “original”. everyone is inspired by something or the other. Let Cassie be. And as pretty as she is, she doesn’t really have a “real” chance at becoming a high-fashion model. Commercial model, maybe. You need to be tall(5’9 and above) and extra skinny to make it as a high-fashion model. Also, Cassie has “sex kitten” look about her, meaning she’s very sensual and commercial looking which is a look most designers(the top ones) tend to shy away from. Just thought i should let you guys know cuz some of you keep harping on about her switching to modelling.
