Congrats in order for singer/actress Jill Scott, 37, and her fiancé, drummer Lil John Roberts! They welcomed their first child, a boy, her manager confirms.
Jett Hamilton Roberts was born at 4:20 p.m. on April 20. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.
Jill discovered her pregnancy she was to leave for Botswana to film her new HBO Series, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency.
“The first trimester I spent in Botswana. That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You’re sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days. My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it.
I definitely had issues over the course of my life, reproduction issues,” she explains to PEOPLE. “I was married for five years and could never conceive a child. Until now … It’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Jill Congrats.. I dont know what the fuss of some is here, but i met Lil jon and he’s a nice man. He’s genuine and Jill is madly in love with him.. As long as love leads the way i dont think somethings wrong.. Some people forgot how many marriage’s go wrong because they married of a child.. I get where ur coming from, but i can also see that some people want to take their time.. Ofcourse gettin an baby is the most wonderful thing in the world, but we dont know the whole story and everyone has his own reasons!!

Hollywood FINALLY acknowledged Angela Bassett with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame within the past 2 yrs. Hollywood Finally acknowledged Denzel with an Oscar. I can go on and on. Halle is a HOE. She won an award for degrading herself. Respectable, classy women like Angela Bassett and Vanessa Williams who can run marathons around Halle’s plastic surgery ass, refused to take that degrading role. That’s why she can’t keep a man. She had to go hire a white model to father her child.
