Kaylan Ware, 9, of Atlanta, Ga. poses with a wax figure of First Lady Michelle Obama during the unveiling of Michelle’s wax figure at Madame Tussauds on Tuesday, April 7th, in Washington, DC.
The museum’s artists began working on the wax figure in late December. While Michelle did not pose for the artists, they were able to achieve a life-like representation of the first lady by looking over photographs and video footage of her.
Looks more like her mother to me. What do you think?

They did a lovely job, she looks great! So glad for more positive images of black women for young girls (women of all ages, really) to aspire and look up to in mainstream media.

We all love first lady Obama…but please let’s not act like we didn’t all notice that she has a severe underbite in real life. The artist was only sculpting what is there.

The face just looks a little to hard.
Look at how much detail goes into making these wax figures. Her hairline, eyebrows, wisdom lines aka wrinkles, and the dimples in her cheek! That is amazing how the creators did this based simply off of footage and photographs.

It’s a great figure, but her face looks too old or something to me. It’s a bit off..no hate, but I guess there is only so much that you can do with wax though.

It looks so real, I thought it was her at first, but the hair looked a little different to me so i scrolled down, and read that it was her wax figure……I was amazed, they did a great job!

For one, my First Lady is a beautiful Milk Chocolate skinned woman. Not Butter Cream.
Second, I just dont like it, These fools could have did way better. Barack’s wax figure looks more dead on than hers. Somebody need call these fools up and tell them to come fix it.

I think the wax figure of First Lady Obama looks absolutely gorgeous. Everyone is so critical of the artists “they didn’t capture this, her nose is wrong, blah blah blah” no one wants to take the time out to even attempt to fathom the amount of time, energy, effort and not to mention skill that goes into creating a wax figure. Like I said it looks incredible and I think it truly does capture her.

Yeah something seems off..like the face is a tiny bit wider than it really is.
But overall its a nice wax figure, and a good likeness of her. Better than some of the other ones I’ve seen.
I think it looks JUST LIKE MIchelle! I mean, the face may be a bit tense…but its wax figure, I’m not to surprise! I am impress that the artist was able to create a realistic figure without her presence! I swear the world as we once saw it will never be the same! For better or for worst!

Yah trippin over Michelle’s figure…I think her figure looks more realistic than Barack’s! But I still can’t hate…they did a good job based on photos and video footage!
I’ve consulted with my hair stylist about Michelle’s look and we both agree that her her eyebrows are arched way to high and it makes her look like she got botox injections, so she always looks suprised. Dont get me wrong, I love the first lady but whoever is doing her makeup or makeover should not arch her brows so high.
They did a great job, but i will have to cosign with #22, they made her apperar to be a bit lighter that her real shade. I would say the little girl that is pictured with her is her real shade is real life.
Barack’s wax figure looks nice also.

We all know our 1st lady doesnt have the best “bite”/”teeth” or whatever and they sure stayed true to that fact with this.

The artist did a really good job, no need to make remarks that her skin is to light and that her teeth are to big…sorry but just because she is the “First Lady” that does not make her perfect! Her mouth looks exactly like that and so does her hair! Good job artist!!!

for the idiot about the skin color you do know that and shadows will determine your eyes visual perception of a image lol you do see how they have a light cast near her which light up any complexion except pitch black

i think it looks spot on, just like michelle o. they even got the hair texture at the root that eludes to some kinks and curls. love it.
It’s damn near a perfect image of her! However, I think they failed to accentuate her curves. Michelle has a wonderful shape even while wearing a cardigan.
